Contract workers, Karnataka, Minimum Wage

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that 11,000 contract workers will be regularised within the next three months. He also stated that the present minimum wages of Rs. 4,000 – 5,000 will be increased to Rs. 17,000.

Karnataka unit, through continuous struggles have advanced much and the management and the contractors have been compelled to concede the rights of the workers and implement minimum wage, EPF, ESI etc. The victimised workers have been taken back. There are still some more issues to be settled and those are being attended to by the union.
