Attack on union office, Trinamool, W.Bengal

BSNL Employees Union CHQ has called upon its Branches/SSAs to organise powerful protest demonstrations on 24th August 2016 against the cowardly attack on BSNLEU W.Bengal Office by the Trinamool goons a few days back. The union office, which is inside the CTO Building, Calcutta  has been ransacked and the workers there attacked. The BSNL Management has to immediately file FIR against these goons as also bring this to the notice of the Central government since a crucial office under security has been gate-crashed and union office ransacked.

Organise the demonstrations with massive participation and explain to the workers the attacks on the trade unions in W.Bengal by the Trinamool goons. It is also clear that the police is not taking action probably on the directions of the government.

We will not tolerate attack on our union and union workers! The government and the BSNL Management should take immediate action against the culprints and esnure the security f the workers.

Bihar, earthquake, UP, W.Bengal

The 7.9 earth quake with its epicentre near Kathmandu has resulted in death of more than 800 in Nepal. The districts in W.Bengal, Bihar and U.P., which are near the border had also been affected. Many people are reported dead in these districts, especially in Bihar. Since these are mainly interior villages, full information is not available.

I contacted Circle Secretaries Coms. Animesh Mitra (W.B.), B.P.Singh (Bihar) and R.K.Mishra (UP) and inquired about the causalities and conveyed our sympathy and sorrow in the loss of lives.

BSNLCCWF CC, W.Bengal

All arrangements are being made for the holding of the 7th Circle Conference of W.Bengal on 11-12 January 2014. All india leaders including President, Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri, will be attending the same.
W.Bengal is one of the circles, which started organising the Casual and Contractual workers very early. Under the leadership of Coms. Animesh Mitra, Circle secretary BSNLEU(Dy GS BSNLEU also) and Tapas Ghosh, Circle secretary BSNLCCWF (who is also the Secretary General), the organisation has become strong and has been able to settle many issues.
But the major issue, Regularisaion of the 2270 casual labour in the circle, is still pending due to the adamant attitude and unacceptable plea of the BSNL management that they can not be regularised in view of the judgment of the SC in the matter.
The Circle conference will discuss all these matters and take suitable decisions.
Best Wishes to the success of the Circle Conference!
