CHQ is saddened to report the unexpected demise of Com.M.K.Parmar, District Secretary, Bharuch, Gujarat. He was unwell for a brief period and the end came on 25-05-2017.
Com.M.K.Parmar was a committed comrade and was in touch with the CHQ,even before the formation of Gujarat Circle Branch. He had organised a pensioners organisation of BSNL retirees at Bharuch and had no hesitation to merge it with AIBDPA.
We pay our respectful homage to Com.M.K.Parmar and convey heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and comrades. (courtesy: AIBDPA Website)
All the CHQ Office bearers, circle Secretaries and District Secretaries of AIBDPA are requested to effectively intervene for maximum mobilisation of Pensioners so that the Mass DHARNA at SSA level on 25th May, 2017 is made a historical success.
After serving the notice for the agitational programme as per the decision of the Mysuru CEC to both Secretary, DOT and CMD, BSNL and successful conduct of the Call Attention Day on 20-04-2017, we could achieve the following three demands.
(1). Gratuity ceiling of Rs.20 lakh is extended to the BSNL Pensioners.
(2). Quarterly medical allowance restored partially to BSNL Pensioners.
(3). Free night call facility extended to BSNL Pensioners.
But more important issues like pension revision from 01-01-2017 are to be settled. So stronger struggles are warranted for pay revision and Pension revision. In this context, successful conduct of the Mass DHARNA on 25-05-2017 is quite imperative.
SO LET US MAKE IT A GRAND SUCCESS.
LET US MARCH FORWARD IN THE PATH OF STRUGGLE TO ACHIEVE THE GENUINE DEMANDS. (Courtesy: AIBDPA website)
The beautiful Palace city of Mysuru in Karnataka witnessed effective deliberations, active discussions and appropriate decisions. The occasion was the Central Executive Committee Meeting held at Com.M.P.Kunhanandan Nagar in Regional Telecom Training Centre on 23rd and 24th February, 2017. Members of the All India BSNL DOT Pensioners Association (AIBDPA) fully supported the 2nd September Strike and expressed their solidarity by participating in the demonstrations, processions, dharnas etc. organised on the day along with BSNLEU and BSNLCCWF, whose members have fully participated in the strike. The presence of the senior citizens, who themselves have been the leaders of BSNLEU earlier, gave inspiration to the workers. Many of them are comrades who participated / gave leadership to all the 17 strikes organised since 1991 against the anti-people, anti-worker neo-liberal policy of the government. While only about one crore workers participated in the first strike organised by the Central Trade unions on 29th November 1991, more than 18 crore workers participated in the strike on 2nd September 2016. The Indian working class will continue its struggle against the anti-worker, anti-people policy of the government and on their fully justified demands like minimum wage of Rs.18,000, no privatisation of PSUs, implementation of labour laws to safeguard the interests of the workers, bring down the prices of essential commodities, regularise the contract workers, ensure minimum pension to all etc.
Hearty Congratulations and Thanks to all the senior citizens, AIBDPA members for the solidarity and support extended to the strike!
