The CAG and Public Accounts Committee raps ESIC for delay in construction of hospitals

The Public Accounts Committee  has rapped the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIS) and the Labour Ministry for the unusual delay in construction of  hospitals entrusted to them.  Out of 63 projects for construction of hospitals planned and funds allotted, 53 are far behind schedule. The inordinate delay has been criticised by the CAG in its report.

These hospitals are for the treatment of workers who are contributing to the Employees State Insurance. Delay in construction, seriously affects the contributors in their treatment.

Modi Government speaks volumes on governance. What about this ? Any action going to be taken?

‘Tell us one place where Ganga is clean’, National Green Tribunal to Government.

Tags

The National Green Tribunal has asked the government what the people has been asking for long that what it is doing to clean Ganga. The Green Tribunal sarcastically asked the Government ” Tell us one place where Ganga is clean?”. The thousands and thousands of crores of rupees allotted by the government for cleaning Ganga during all these years have gone in the drain and nothing is improved. On the contrary it has worsened. Modi during election was very aggressive in assuring that Ganga will be cleaned and made pure. But even after more than one year has passed after Modi became the Prime Minister nothing happened.

Today, 9th October 2015, is the World Post Day!

‘World Post Day is celebrated each year on 9 October, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874 in the Swiss capital, Berne. It was declared World Post Day by the UPU Congress held in Tokyo, Japan, in 1969.’

In India, the World Post Day is to be celebrated by strengthening the Department of Posts and the Postal Service. The government should support the DoP and enlargen its services.

Hindus and Muslims should fight against poverty, not against each other – PM Modi

Prime Minister Modi had called upon Hindus and Muslims not to fight each other but fight poverty jointly. But first of all convince the BJP leaders and your Ministers, who are creating communal trouble. Sack them from the posts. That will give a good message.

Bonus is the right of workers

Bonus is not a charity by the management, but is the right of the workers. It is a right achieved after sustained struggles. BSNL employees will not allow this right to be taken away from them. Fight for the right.

Convert Part-time contract workers to full time.

During my visit to Kerala, I met many contract workers in BSNL Kerala Circle, who are part time workers and being paid part time wages for 4 hours or so.They are continuing for many years and is full justification for full time work.
They should be made full time workers.

Contract Workers are also human beings

It is sad that not only contractors, but also some well educated and well paid officers are exploiting the BSNL  contract workers by not ensuring that they are  paid due wages.
BSNLCCWF requests such officers not to shut their eyes to this injustice but act to ensure that the labour laws of the country are got implemented for these low paid workers, who are the bavk bone of BSNL.

The Eternal Revolutionary Che Guvera, the world remember you!

Che

It was on 9th October 45 years back, in 1967, that eternal revolutionary Ernesto Che Guvera was murdered by the Bolivian imperialist government. He was only 49 years.

But during this period Comrade Che has done things which could not be done even in a full life time. Along with Comrade Fidel Castro, he fought and won Cuban independence and created the Socialist Cuba. He was a Minister there, but left and went to Bolivia to wage guerrilla warfare to free it from the imperialists and their henchmen. He was captured and killed there.

His diaries have been published, which shows the true revolutionary, fighting for a socialist world, sacrificing everything including his life. He is an inspiration to the entire world.

Comrade Che, you are remembered! Red Salute to Comrade Che!
