Operational profit for BSNL ?

It is reported that BSNL will have an ‘operational profit’ of Rs.600 crore in 2014-15. Well and good. The joint effort of workers and Management is getting results. If BSNL is able to keep the trend and/ improve, it can be profitable within two- three years.

Pensioners outnumber Central employees

As per reports in the press, there are 30 lakh central government employees and 50 lakh central pensioners. Due to non- recruitment, number of employees has gone down. Every month, pensioners are going to increase due to large scale retirements.
Pensioners are a force. Settle their genuine grievances. Otherwise there will be retaliation from these senior citizens.

Why this intolerance? CMD BSNL should intervene.

The intolerance against union and its genuine activities by certain top officers in BSNL has gone beyond all limits. What else is to be understood from the compulsory retirement of District Secretary BSNLEU Jharkhand and suspension, transfer and FIR against Circle Secretary and office bearers of BSNLEU and SNEA in Kerala ? BSNL C.O. has to immediately intervene and settle issues, failing which, serious agitation will take place.

Only 15% fitment by VII CPC?

A report in Times of India states that the VII Central Pay Commission may submit its report by end of November 2015 and that it may recommend 15 % increase in pay.
This is unacceptable to the employees. 15% increase in 10 years since 2006 means only 1.5% in a year, which is far below the growth in GDP as also far less than the increase given to PSUs. More than 15% increase has been granted to PSUs with 5 year wage revision, which comes to about 30% in
10 years.
The CG employees are already in the war path with a massive dharna on 19 November 2015.
