BSNL Casual and Contract Workers Federation has addressed a letter to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi informing him about the wage slavery of the BSNL Contract Workers in UP and especially in Varanasi, the constituency from which he has been elected. Only Rs. 1500 – 3000 are paid where as they are eligible at least about Rs. 7,000/- at the lowest. BSNLCCWF has requested the PM to look in to the matter and ensure implementation of minimum wage, EPF, ESI etc.
Will the Prime Minister or his Office have time to mete out justice to the hard working casual contract workers?
not only there… west bengal circle casual workers are also not being paid their wages properly.. 😦
Kindly inform the situation in W.Bengal and what they are denied.
bsnl casual and contract workers are exploited intentionally everywhere in the country.. they have been denied to pay their minimum monthly wages as is happening here since 4 months. we have to fight against the slave like behavior of the management.. what is CMDs role regarding these issues???
Your role is to organise the casual and contract labour and fight for their rights. The rules are there, they are to be got implemented. it has got to be done at the field level. You have to help your brethren.
sir firstly i would like to tell you that above mentioned problems of Varanasi is also happening here. We are from Malda district of West Bengal Telecom Circle. previously 4 months have been passed and our wages were denied to pay by the officials in the name of insufficient fund allotment from corporate office. They replied that wages can be paid only when it would be sanctioned from New Delhi. After 4 months of extreme struggle we have succeeded to receive a one time wage in the month of April 12th and we have been assured by the officials that from the next coming months wages will be paid in time but unfortunately in repeatedly manner the same is occurring in this month. Mr. Tapas Kr Ghosh on behalf of the ccwf is trying to solve the matter as it is 21st of the month and we still have no assurance of our wages when to be paid. We are preparing to go on hunger strike under the leadership of Mr. Tapas Kr Ghosh if no decisions could be taken by the management till tomorrow i.e. friday
this is what i said on my previous comments and not only our district..entire WB circle casual and contract workers are suffering from this every month. Even in last two years wages of approximately two or three months in every single year have yet not been paid to us which is still pending and no decisions are yet to be taken by the management
sir its kind request if you please look into the matter as your blog is the only way by which we can make you reach our long pending problems that we are persisting from 2013
We shall certainly take up the case.
thank you so much sir. if any support required from our side we will certainly be there.
