BSNL is a fully government owned company. At the time of the formation of BSNL, it was assured by the government that all help and support will be provided to the telecom PSU to maintain its financial viability. All those promises have been broken by the government.
At least the spectrum can be given free to the BSNL. The government has got more than Rs. 1.10 lakh crore from the recent spectrum auction. This is much more than expected by the government.
In these circumstances, the government can easily allot spectrum to BSNL free. It will help revival of BSNL in a big way. We are demanding that spectrum should be granted free to government company, BSNL.
what exactly government has done during last 10 years for bsnl?? absolutely zero. they are fully able to take necessary steps to provide each m every kind off assistance to bsnl..and by the ac of formation of the respective psu govt is bound to do so..but unfortunately they are doing nothing on which bsnl can stand upon except lectures. sorry to say this but its a harsh Truth. looking forward to the 21st n 22nd april strike where spectrum allocation is an essential demand fixed by bsnleu
Why should we beg to Govt. Tell the govt and management if spectrum is not given free to bsnl, then bsnl should stop all the loss making rural operations across the country. BBNL tender work is carried out by BSNL then stop that also. Don’t provide cable to the company. Do or Die situation is prevailing and still we are in our old habits. Everything has to change now otherwise rebel among employees will take place as soon as bsnl is declared sick which is soon to happen.
If we start stopping operations one after another, BSNL will not exist. It will be easier for the government to close it. Providing service, where others are not providing, is our strength. We have to continue our struggles to make the government accept our demands. We have got a responsibility to the public also. How we are having profit in Kerala, where also the loss making services are there? How we got profit earlier in all places? We have to compel the government and the Management to take suitable measures for the same. This is a long struggle and we can not accept defeat.
Comrade the two days strike will not have any impact on the govt. It is better we cancel our two days strike and go for all out strike till govt assures us a viable BSNL which like China Telecom will withstand the tough competition with govt support. A tri party agreement between forum, Management and govt of India is the need of the hour. There are so many employees who has more than 10 years of service left, the agreement will boost the moral of the employees which in turn will yield positive result for the company. Think about all the employees who if this two days strike being unsuccessful will lose their confidence which will be very hard to regain.
These decisions are taken after detailed discussion in the Forum, where there are many general Secretaries and also in consultation with the circle Forum leaders. The decision is taken in view of the fact that neither the Government nor the management is coming with any support to revive BSNL. It is a do or die battle.
Comrade it is good to see that you respond immediately to our views. but since the situation is so bad then the decision of going for indefinite strike is appropriate. Govt will never care if we simply go for two days strike and in this situation they never will. Now the minister himself has admitted that BSNL was neglected by the previous govt, then time has come to show them that no govt can neglect us, if possible arrange for debate with media and highlight the issue such that people of this country realise and back us to give them the services which we have been doing for decades.
The unanimous decision at present is for two days strike. After that we will think about the next programme.
