CHQ wishes to caution our comrades about the rumours being spreaded by mischievous elements. Many rumours are being floated by these miscreants, against the AUAB, demands and the strike. The intention of these black-legs is to sabotage the united movement, which is mobilising the employees for the strike. CHQ fervently appeals to our comrades not to help these miscreants, in spreading rumours. Any message which is not sent by the district, circle unions or the CHQ, should not be forwarded to anyone. If this is followed strictly, the mischief mongers will fail in spreading the rumours. CHQ requests all the comrades to kindly cooperate.(Courtesy: BSNLEU Website)

Dear Comrade, you might have well aware a circular dated 11.2.2019 about the future of the families of 1.70 lakh BSNL employees is in dark – AUAB calls on to organise rallies with family members on 15.2.19.
Absolutely correct about the future of BSNL is dark. During September, 2000 all of a sudden Govt. proposed and unions hurried all the employees to depute to BSNL on 01.10.2000 by the way of Rs.1000/- exploitation. On that day itself it was paved to privatisation. Through the loyal customers and low tariff plans BSNL survived so for.
Soon after entry of the Reliance Jio entire scenario changed. I previously also proposed with you to go for one demand strike that is, repatriate all deemed deputed employees to DOT again, which will give them at least some peace at last stage of work before retirement. No separate pay commissions required as per 7th CPC, things will be done as with the pensioners. At this last stage of service with hypertension and hyperglycemia is it necessary to go on to the roads with family members who are asking why your so called readers not accepting any VRS scheme and not making any proposal with management for VRS scheme. so it is high time to decide the following items please.
1. repatriation with DOT
otherwise
2. Making a seperate MOU with BSNL/DOT for VRS (Golden shake hands).
Thank you comrade/
Dear Comrade Umakumar, It is not correct that all the unions agreed for the corporatisation. It was the three Federations which signed the agreement. Unions like E.III(N) of which I was the General Secretary organised two strikes and opposed the corporatisation with tooth and nail, but the recognised federations surrendered.
With regard to repatriation to DOT, it was taken up at one stage in the past, but the government completely refused. VRS is not the panacea for the present crisis. Improvement and strengthening of BSNL through which the workers will also be saved should be the target. Let us be positive and fight back the new proposals which have now been published in the media.
