The central government has received the report of the NITI Ayog days back, which recommended closure/privatisation of many central PSUs. It can not be treated as a confidential document and needs to be made open to the public.
Public Sector Units in the country have been formed for the improvement of insfrastructure, manufacturing etc. Any change or important modification on these PSUs should be known to the public and the stakeholders including the workers of these PSUs. It should be discussed with the unions/associations before any decision is taken by the government.
sir, may I ask one question please? Left parties are acquiring crowd to the meetings and they are not fruitful when the time of elections. Since the left parties are not having the legislature part we can not get any thing from the Govt. By the by who are the culprits of this situation of winding of PSUs, only the Govts. who are ruling since independence. They are not taking much pain towards employees and their beneficiaries. They are increasing the allowances of their political mates. Avoiding of people and employees may get severe effect on the Govt. Who will ask this in Parliament and other legislatures.
The situation is as you point out. It is only through united struggles that we can achieve our demands. The Left parties have come in to power in a few states. In Kerala, in the recent elections, LDF has come in to power with good majority. The PSUs which were loss making under the UDF rule will be revived and made profitable during the LDF rule. This difference in the policies of the Left and other parties like NDA and UPA has to be understood by the workers and the common people.
