Why not ‘Pilot’, instead of ‘Driver’?
The designation of ‘Driver’ needs change. The person who drives the airplane is called ‘Pilot’. Why can’t the person who drives the train and car be called a pilot?
The designation can be like this – Air Pilot, Rail Pilot and Car Pilot. That will be a better designation.

Dear Comrade, A good thinking in a right time. I am S.Murugesan, a Driver from Chennai Telephones. Drivers can be called as Pilots.They can be either called as TELECOM PILOTS. or Telecom vehicle operators,or Operational pilots.The Driver’s were left out in the recent re-structure of the trades in our Department. I sincerely requesting you sir,PLS do something.
BSNLEU mentioned at the time of the first meeting of the designations committee itself. Then it was decided that first redesignations of 4 cadres will be taken up. Since those four are settled now, the redesignation of other cadres, including drivers can be taken up.
