As is well known, Pay Revision Committee (PRC) for the executives of all the Central PSUs used to be appointed by the Government, which will recommend the pay scales to be implemented according to the status of the PSU being decided by it on several criteria. This was done for the last time in 2007.
For the non-executives in each PSU, the management will discuss the wage revision with the recognised union/s and the Wage Agreement reached will be implemented. Last time this was done in BSNL also w.e.f. 01-01-2007.
Now it is understood that the Government is proposing Pay Revision of executives for each PSU separately as was done in the case of non-executives.
But the important matter is that it is high time that the Pay Revision / Wage revision in BSNL should start without delay. The recognised unions should take up the matter with out any delay. Once the recommendations of the VII Central Pay Commission are out, the demand will become stronger.

The demand is that the process should start quickly without waiting for 2017. The VII CPC to be effective from 01-01-2006 was appointed more than one year earlier.

Com. Sir, We should write to B S N L & D O T both as perks are not increased since 1996 and rest 78.2 % PAY + H R A etc. not paid in financial loss as shown BY B S N L but assets and THEIR USEFUL COMMERCIAL THOUGHT lack / FRAUD in B S N L
Comrade is BSNL in a severe finacial crunch now, Like last wage revision is any commitee formed to arrive at any payscale from Union side to submit it to the management. If BSNL is not in a position to give wage hike.what will be our stratergy. With the 7th Pay commission Central Government employees pay will be more than ours and any move to depute or transfer the employees from our company to Central Government department incase our company is not in a position to hike any wage will become difficult at that stage. ITS officers will escape like rats but what about the absorbed Executives and Non Executive, there is a lot of tensions among the employees. Despite assurances from Government and CMD, BSNL situation has not improved and deteoriating services adds to the worst. Legal option for re deployment of staff to other department who have been absorbed from DOT has to be sought and pressure build up against the Management for revival and development of our company.
The Forum of Forum of BSNL Unions and Associations are on the job. All the employees have to co-operate for bettering the services.
You are aware that none of the loss making PSUs got wage revision in 2007.the loss maybe due to govt policies,but rule is strictly followed by govt.if one loss making PSU is allowed wage revision,other sick PSUs will go to court to fight for the benefit.
The need of the hour is to delink profitability from wage revision criteria.time has come for all loss making PSUs to join together and fight for justice.
We will demand for wage revision whether profit or loss. Let us see the situation.
