After continuous effort on the part of BSNLCCWF, the BSNL Management Committee has approved grant of Gratuity to the casual labour engaged in BSNL. Before issue of orders, BSNL Board has to approve the same. Com.VAN Namboodiri, President BSNLCCWF, met GM(Legal), GM(Estt) and also Director (HR) and discussed the issue. It was assured that the next Board meeting will consider the above. Before that, the Remuneration Committee formed from members of the Board will discuss and approve the same.
We hope that the assurances will be honoured.

sir you struggle for casual labour is good,what about bsnl employees wage revision did you spoken to management …….previous wage revision took lot of time, know make it quick
The issue of the casual contract labour is about implementation of whatever orders are existing are to be implemented. In the case of regular employees, we are demanding wage revision ie. increase in the wages. I have already suggested to the unions that it is time to demand the same.
i as a contractual worker . we r just surviving on this wage. it would be better if we r paid according to the level of work put on our soldiers. as everyone are well aware of the fact that the contractual workers are the back bone of bsnl.
The minimum wages for an unskilled contract worker in a C class city comes around Rs.7,000. For those in A and B class cities as also for those who are semi-skilled and skilled the wages are higher. Further the government is going to issue orders fixing the lowest minimum as Rs. 10,000. Let us try to get these implemented. BSNLCCWF is making all efforts for the same.
