The government is proposing to form a Tower Company, out of BSNL. It means that all the 97,000 and odd towers of BSNL will be kept separate, a few officers will be allotted to the new company, the towers will be shared and the profit will be with the new company. BSNL will loose even the funds that it is getting from the sharing. Another method to bleed BSNL. We can not accept this position. There is no need for a separate tower company.
BBNL was formed bifurcating BSNL in the same way for running the broadband service. Broadband is profitable and it has been formed as a separate company. Our demand is that it should be merged with BSNL and formal position restored.
Whether merger of BSNL with MTNL or formation of new companies out of BSNL are being done with only one single purpose; somehow to put BSNL out of service. The government could not put BSNL as a sick company so far. The merger as well the formation of new companies by bifurcating BSNL has the same target; to make BSNL sick and privatise it. We can not allow this.
Hence no merger with MTNL; No bifurcation to Tower Company; merge BBNL with BSNL.
Its bad for BSNL…. Are they planing to dominate BSNL…. useless NDA government
do you think bsnll will make profit if tower business is not demerged from bsnl
dont waste your time in fighting for the revival of bsnl.dont waste your time by interfering into business related issues of bsnl.bsnl can never make profit in a competitive environment.Instead focus your energy in changing the attitude of govt towards sick psus.fighfor wage revision even for sick psu.fight fr employee benets on par with profitable psus.
psus are becomg sick due to competition not ue to management fault or eploe fault.
for all sickpsu govt should provide subsdy like they aregiving for oil psus.
It is the anti-PSU policy of the government favouring the corporates, that is making the PSUs loss making. Most of the PSUs are profit making despite private companies. In sectors like telecom, where the profit is huge, the private companies, both foreign and Indian have been putting much pressure on the government which has succumbed. There is no equal field in telecom, the private companies are much favoured. They can purchase from any where at any rate. But PSUs like BSNL have to float tender, face cases in the court, can not purchase from China on security grounds, whereas private companies are allowed the same. BSNL is not allowed to take part in the auction, it can not select the circles, it can not stop services which are loss making etc. How was it that BSNL came from the fifth position in 2002 when it was granted mobile service to 2nd position within 4 years passing all except Airtel?
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru told that PSUs are the temples of modern India. Now the present rulers are making them cemeteries. That is reason for the present down fall of the PSUs.
the same is exactly happening with PSU banks like what FM Shri Arun Jaitely described in his budget statement to form an autonomous bank board to determine their CMD’s…and the so called process will going to hit such other PSUs also especially such loss making PSU like BSNL from top to the bottom…privatising them in the name of revival could never be the way to rescue the employees and their families concerned with the PSU moreover itself
mr. nites bsnl was is and will be the best telecom operator in india amongst all the newly borne private companies… govt assurance is the key fact for what bsnl will definitely survive one day…and for that as a sincere citizen of our nation instead of being a pessimist be a a part of the nations voice “save bsnl save nation”
Thanks
Sir Already other telecome operators started 4g services…. Stil BSNL didnt take any step of starting 4g service…. Many people going for private netwrk… They are not supporting BSNL….. We are still behind sir ..private telecme companys useing advance techinology to build there companys strong and healthy .. Bsnl side very weak …. More than 2lack employess are working n Bsnl there feature is Bsnl company… Wil Bsnl survive in future??…
It is because of all these that the unions have started the SAVE BSNL Campaign. You also try to give a better service to the customers.
Very well said vannambodiri sir, We have to check the root cause of the losing market share and losses in Revenue rather then treating the symptoms.I think the design of the BSNL is purely hierarchical and bureaucratic. Its very difficult to do business in the hierarchical and bureaucratic set up.Every policy and the planning in done from the center. There is no local learning and generally whatever is decided by the center is to be implemented on all india basis.
Also we are inside looking company;always blaming its employees for the shortcoming and loss of market share and revenue.
For example; As most people think that the pilot is the most important person in the plan. But in reality the designer of the plan who have designed the plan in such a manner that the pilot can handle it even in the stress and plan can withstand the adverse weather conditions. So design of the organization is most important.People at top should think to capture the local learning and decentralize the planning for the states and districts according to the local conditions, then only BSNL has better chance to compete in the competitive telecom market in India.
Your suggestions are very welcome. These are points which the unions have raising several times. We will continue to put pressure.
