Com.Kitty Menon has passed away. She was 90 years old and was serving in the editorial staff of the People’s Democracy. Educated in UK and highly qualified she came to India, taught in JNU and other colleges. From the start she was attracted to Marxism and was active from the student days.
Later she completely engaged with party work and was in People’s Democracy.

Good. Not authantic though. She taught only at Kemp College, Punjab University, Delhi and Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University. She married Com. Ram Das, the working editor of Peoples Democracy and a pillar of strength of the CPI-M. One of the most beautiful persons on the campus or in the world, she was equally competent teacher and a scholar. Joined communist movement at the tender age of 17 and never looked back. She would always be remembered by a large community of friends for the qualities of head and heart.
