Grievance Description : Dated: 29.04.2016 To Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, New Delhi – 110001 Respected Sir, Sub: Change of nomenclature of employees as ‘Non-Gazetted’, ‘Non-Executive’ etc. – Change required. At present, the employees in Central government are mainly divided in to two categories viz. Gazetted and Non-Gazetted. In the same way, the employees in Central Public Sector Units are divided in to ‘Executive’ and ‘Non-Executive’. The nomenclature ‘Non-Gazetted’ and ‘Non-Executive’ is a negative term, which means one is ‘not Gazetted’ and ‘not Executive’. Such nomenclatures are part of legacy of the British colonialism. It may be remembered that the British called the Indians as ‘Natives’ to denigrate them. There is a need to change these nomenclatures which demean the employee, who should have a positive name, instead of a negative one. Will it be acceptable to anybody If such negative nomenclatures are extended to other sections, like the IAS officers being called as ‘Non-Secretaries’, Members of Director Board as ‘Non- CEO’, ‘Non-CMD’ etc. Whether anybody will like it, if Cabinet Ministers in the Central government are called as ‘Non-Prime Minister’? It is time to change these names which are legacy of the British colonialism and find suitable nomenclature. This needs serious consideration. Thanking You Sir, Yours Faithfully, V.A.N.Namboodiri, T-18 C, Atul Grove road, New Delhi – 110001

Russia celebrated ‘Victory Day’ on 9th May

71 years is sufficient to forget things small. But the end of the II World War which swallowed the lives of crores and crores of soldiers and civilians is not a small thing. It is on 9th May 1945 that the II World War was over with the complete defeat of Nazi Germany. The role of the  Red Army of the Soviet Union through its ‘Great Patriotic War’ which continued for more than three years can not be compared with any other war. It was a war for existence for the USSR against the so called Nazi War Machinery which was stated to be undefeatable and undestructable. The impossible has been made by the Red Army. The day of the complete surrender of the Nazi Army is celebrated as the ‘Victory Day’ by the USSR and later Russia on 9th May every year.

9th May 1945 was a day which changed the course of history. Red Salute to the Red Army which saved the world from Nazist – Fascist tyranny!

Govt. dilly dallies in issuing orders on Minimum Wage of Rs 10,000

While the central trade unions have demanded Rs.18,000 as minimum wage for contract workers, government arbitrarily announced that it will be Rs.10,000. In the meantime, India Inc cried fowl stating that it can not pay this  ‘high wage’.
The government is still to issue orders, probably over the protest of India Inc, its real masters.

NPA – Culprits play victims

The Banks, especially PSU Banks, including SBI, has NPA or bad loans coming to lakhs of crores of rupees. The corporates and Mallyas who had taken loan of hundreds and  thousands of crores are mostly willfully defaulting repayment with the confidence that they will never be booked due to money power and influence among the rulers.

Now, due to adverse reports in media and strong protests from people, government is compelled to take some action unwillingly. This has rattled the powerful India Inc, the corporates and big business. They cry foul and act as victims. Stop this drama,  India Inc, and repay the loans you have taken from banks. Your strategy and cheating of the nation has been fully exposed.

‘History’ (His Story) and ‘Herstory’

Tags

The name ‘History’, probably derived from the words ‘His Story’ requires to be renamed. Man and woman must have equal right of the past, present and future. It has to be both ‘His Story’ and ‘Her Story’.

So, what can be the new name for ‘History’?

It is the same with ‘mankind’. What is the role for the woman in ‘mankind’? This kind of discrimination has to end. New names require to be found and used to end this discrimination.
