Comradeship is something special

08 Sunday Feb 2015

During my long period of trade union activitities, I have learnt a great lesson – a lesson I can never forget. It is the love and affection of the workers to their union and union leaders.Wherever you go they are there to  be with you for assistance and guidance. It gives you Strength, Confidence.

The latest is my Jaipur visit to meet Com SK Vyas who is in hospital after a massive heart attack. He is on quick recovery and we met him.
Although I intimated our comrades late about the visit, Comrades Ashok Pareek, Circle Secretary, Vijay Singh, All India Org. Secretary and AK Jain, Dist. Secretary BSNLEU – all were at the hospital. After the visit, I was taken to the IQ and made arrangements for stay etc. Though these comrades had prior fixed engagements, they were with me for some time to discuss about strike etc. Only after my insistence that I am fine wth the arrangements, did they leave me.
This is not the case of Jaipur  comrades alone. It is in the blood of BSNL comrades.
My Red  Salute to all these Comrades, who have defined comradeship in an excellent way!

If the mood of the people as also the exit-poll predictions are any indication, AAP is going to take the reigns of the capital city of India.
The citizens of Delhi eagerly wait for this long cherished change. We can wait for two more days till the results are out.

New Delhi, Feb 5 : Angry over a spate of “attacks” on churches, members of the Christian community today staged a major protest in the city ahead of assembly polls, accusing the government of inaction and wondered why Prime Minister was “silent” on the issue.

Police detained over two hundred protesters from outside the Sacred Heart Cathedral in central Delhi when they tried to march towards the residence of Home Minister Rajnath Singh in a high security area here.

A number of priest and elderly persons including women were picked up police and forced into buses. Some protesters, carrying placards, squatted on the road demanding protection to the churches. (PTI)

BJP in its Vision Statement  for Delhi elections has assured safety for the ‘North East Immigrants’  in Delhi.
Wonderful! Do’nt  the ruling BJP know that the North East is part of India and that North East persons are citizens of Indiia.
BJP should apologize to the NE population!

SAVE BSNL, SAVE INDIA – Workers in service of people in distress

02 Monday Feb 2015

The BSNL workers were in the forefront in restoring the services in J and K at the time floods, in Uttarakhand at the time of avalanches/landslides and also when Sunami in the Eastern Coast. Everywhere, when the people were in distress and  communications services were down, it was the BSNL Management and workers who restored the services and came to the rescue of people. Not the private companies. They are interested in profit only.
The Chief Ministers and authorities of all these places commended the hard work of BSNL and its employees.
Now we have to ensure that not only  at thr time of natural calamities, but also in day to day work, we have to engage ourselves as in emergecies and ensure  that BSNL services are the BEST.
It can be done, it has to be accomplished.
We are workers, real workers and not shirkers.

We condemn these attacks on Churches in Delhi

St.Alphonso Church, Vasantkunj has been attacked and vandalised. This is the third Christian Church that has been attcked in Delhi in recent months. Earlier, St.Sebastians in Dilshad Garden and Lady of Graces in Vikaspuri were attacked. The attacks are be part of intolerance against the minority communities and divisive politics to get benefit in the coming stiffly contested Delhi elections.
We strongly condemn these dastrardly attacks and demand immediate and stringent action against the culprits.

It was also directed that the collected signatures should reach the All India Convener before 15 February. But so far nothing has been received. There is acute shortage of equipments: cables, mobile lines, towers, broadband modem, dropwire, telephone instruments etc. etc. BSNL Management should wake up and act for procurement.
People want BSNL services. It is the duty and responsibility of the management to act to the wishes of the customers. Do not fail them
