Brutal exploitaion of contract workers engaged in BSNL is taking place in many centres. After formation of BSNLCCWF, it goy many orders issue to safeguard the interest of the workers. However exploitation continues, sometime with the connivance of corrupt officers.
When the contract workers protest against the exploitation, they are retrenched. I am getting a lot of calls from contract workers about retrenchment. I have advised them to take such   cases through BSNLEU and BSNLCCWF for settlement.
My request once again to BSNLEU leaders is that along with your own cases take up and assist ccontract workers also.

It was just like home-coming. Today I got the chance to attend the monthly meeting of AIBDPA Kozhikode SSA. A large number of pensioners attended.All of them are well acquainted and I have worked with them for years. I addressed the meeting and explained the latest situation and the decision for strike on 2nd September and other connected issues. Some other comrades also addressed.

It was a happy meeting of many comrades whom I have not seen for a long time. My decision to comeback to Kerala is strenghthened.

Cuba and US have decided to restore diplomatic ties from 20th July 2015. Thus, the relations which was broken about 55 years back with the blockade started by US is over.
The world opinion as well as the change of equations in favour of Cuba in the Latin American countries and the America itself have compelled US to change its anti-Cuban line.

Why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent  in the Lalit Modi issue? He should speak and act.

A massively attended meeting of the BSNL employees was held at CGM Office premises Hyderabad, at lunch hours on 23rd June 2015 under the auspices of the Forum of BSNL Unions of Non-Executives and Executives. Leaders of the Circle Forum Comrades J.Sampath Rao(BSNLEU), A.Viswanatham(SNEA), Srinivasa Reddy(AIBSNLEA), Veerabhadra Rao(AIGETOA), Sampath Kumar(SNATTA), Premnath(BTEU), Laxman, Taranath (BSNLEU), Mohan Reddy(BSNLEU) and other leaders were in the dais. About 300 comrades, a large number of them ladies, participated.
Com.VAN Namboodiri, founder Convener of Forum and Patron BSNLEU addressed the meeting and explained the struggles organised during the last more than one decade in defence of BSNL under the leadership of Forum. He thanked the workers for their excellent participation in the strike on 21-22 April called by the Forum. The developments after the strike, including meeting with Secretary DOT and Communications Minister was reported. The doubts raised by some comrades were replied. The workers assured their participation in the 2nd September Strike called by the Central Trade Unions.

17 June 2015 is the 12th death anniversary of the veteran and militant P and T Trade union leader Com.K.Adinarayana, former Secretary General of NFPE and General Secretary, Postmen and ED Union.
His sustained struggle for the improvement ED employees is history.

I am sorry that I was not able to post any news in my blog for the last few days due to some technical problems. Just now only it was resolved. The posts will now continue as usual.

Hundreds of relatives, friends and comrades of BSNLEU from Gujarat were present at the premises of the residence when body of Com.A.M.Patil, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, Gujarat Circle was taken for the last journey. Coms.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Swapan Chakraborty and myself from CHQ BSNLEU attended. We spoke with the family members and consoled them. We attended the funeral and also addressed the brief condolence meeting held there.
