‘Non-Executives’ – The Negative term has to be changed.

change required, negative term, Non-Executive

Non-Executive is a negative term, meaning that the person/s is/are not executive. It is given for the employees at the so called ‘lowest level’.

If this is extended to ‘higher levels’, the terms will be like this: ‘Non-ITS’, ‘Non-IAS’ etc. It can be extended to the Ministers also like ‘Non-CM’ (for Ministers in the State Government), ‘Non-PM’ (for the Central Ministers) etc. Will anybody agree to these terms? Certainly ‘No’, a big ‘NO’.

It is time that the term ‘Non-Executives’ is replaced by a positive and honourable term.

Avoid liquor, Bihar MLAs, Oath

It is a new kind of oath in Bihar Assembly. All the 234 MLAs took oath in the Assembly today, 30-03-2016, that they will not drink liquor.

A very good oath indeed! Let us hope that the MLAs will honour their oath.

Millionaires, Shift to other countries

As per report of New World Wealth, 4,000 millionaires left India in 2015. The destinations seem to be mainly countries like US, Canada etc.

Why they are shifting to other countries? The report does not answer the question. Probably the super rich may be trying for super-rich living of this highly developed countries.

HMT, PSU employees, suicide

It is reported in the press today that a Joint General Manager of Public Sector company, HMT, Kanwal Singh Nagi, committed suicide by leaping down from a 45 feet high water tank. It is also reported that he took the extreme step due to financial difficulties, since salary was not received for months. HMT is in loss for some years and the staff are not being paid salary.

Thousands of kisans have been committing suicide in the last few years, unable to repay debts. Now an employee in a PSU has committed suicide.

We express our deep grief and convey our condolences to the bereave family, friends and colleagues. The government should immediately act and give sufficient funds to all loss making PSUs for payment of salaries to the staff.

Loud Declarations, Lacking in implementation

action required, Looters, PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated in Assam that the rich who have looted the public sector banks will not be spared. He said:

“You know how the rich have usurped public money. My government has tightened the screws on the bank defaulters. They are sweating due to fear of going to jail and are fleeing. But no one will be spared I am telling you.”

“The money looted from the banks does not belong to the banks but to the poor people of the country and I will ensure that those who looted this money return each and every paise… they have looted the country.”

Assurances and declarations are well taken. But what about action against the culprits? How the biggest defaulter Mallya was allowed to leave India despite clear evidence and cases against him by various government agencies? How Lali Modi was allowed to leave the country?

Government, stop attacks, universities

Universities are the centres of learning where crores of  youth of the country learns through hard study, guidance from the elders, discuss on each and every issue critically and expose themselves to the future world. It is a workshop where they train themselves to give the best to the world.

What the central government and certain Hindutwa brigade are trying is to muffle the free speech, independent thought and frighten them to silence. This was never the proud heritage of the country.

This attack on the centres of learning should be reisted and defeated to save our young generation and the future of the nation.

freedom of speech, universities

Reports are coming one after another about brutal attacks on the students of JNU, Hyderabad and similar such institutions for free speech and for raising progressive ideas. It is very clear that the ruling party at the centre is supporting these attacks covertly and overtly. This is a threat to the society and serious danger.

Strong protest and condemnation of these attacks should raise from all who cherish the freedom of speech and freedom of the country.

It is reported in the press that according to a analysis by an Italian agency, there may be about 6-7 trillion dollars of black money world wide. The India share will be a good portion of it.

The greedy capitalists are behind such anti-national and illegal activities. Why the government is not taking drastic action?
