Che Guevara

Mankind has advanced through centuries from barbarism to civilisation. There has always been struggle in this advancement – bitter struggle between the classes. The struggles have been lasting for centuries. Against slavery, against feudalism, against capitalism and so on. In these crucial fights there have been crusaders, who led these movements for the advancement of the society and to defend the underdogs.
Spartacus, Jesus Christ, Basavanna, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rana Pratap, Tippu Sultan, Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Chandrasekhar Azad, thousands of Communists killed by the British and the Congress Government are all part of these huge army of martyrs.
And Che Guevara, the eternal revolutionary, who sacrificed himself at the altar of freedom of the Latin American countries is one of these great change makers of history.

Che Guevara was murdered by the mercenaries of the Bolivian Dictatorship during the guerrilla warfare on 9th October 1967. He was part of the Cuban Revolution and was a minister in the Cuban Government led by Fidel Castro and his comrade in arms. But he left everything and continued his journey for the freedom of the entire Latin American countries.

Che Guevara, the eternal revolutionary, is once again remembered on his 51st martyrdom day, 9th October 2018.

Red Salute to Che!

Mallikarjun Kharge is the opposition leader in Lok Sabha

02 Monday Jun 2014

Putting an end to all speculation, Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi has nominated Shri Mallikarjun Kharge as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. It is a surprise as well as not, that a person other than the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi has been appointed for the post. Is it a move for giving leadership to other than the First Family or an acceptance of defeat?

Modi Government seems to be determined to increase FDI in media also. It is reported that there is a proposal to increase the FDI in media also to FDI after Insurance and Railways. Is it going to be 100% FDI in all sectors? Whether the impact on the growth of the country is taken in to consideration? Is the media sector being thrown at the mercy of the MNC media barons?

Stop this cruelty to girls, women.

murder, Rape, Stringent action

The gory reports of rape, sexual assault, murder after rape, especially that of Dalit women and girls, are coming from various parts of the country, especially UP.These are not only most despised criminal acts but are also an assault on the civilised society itself. The Police in general is casual in taking action and some time threaten and implicate the complainants /victims instead of arresting the culprits.

When there is strong movement from the people, something is done by the government and the Police, but this is too insufficient.

The Government, civil society, political parties, organisations of the workers and all should come together to fight this menace of attacks and assaults on the girls and women. However high may be the culprits, they should be brought to book punished and justice meted out to the victims quickly. A big movement like that rose against the Delhi rape about two years back should continue against all such attacks. The government should take stern action.

DO not increase FDI in Insurance Sector

Oppose increase of FDI in Insurance

Continuing the proposals for 100% FDI in Defence and Railways, the Modi Government is focussing attention for increasing the FDI in Insurance. At present FDI in Insurance sector in 26%. The proposal is to increase it to 49%.

A meeting was held between the Secretary, Department of Financial Service G.S.Sandhu with the private insurance companies, who demanded that the FDI be increased.

It is to be remembered that during the UPA-II government, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance chaired by BJP Leader Yaswant Sinha had recommended that there is no case for increase of FDI in Insurance. The Unions in the insurance sector, Left Parties and others have strongly objected to the increase.

It is not easy to take the decision on the increase of FDI in Insurance Sector. The decision will have to be taken in the Parliament. While there is good majority in the Lok Sabha, the BJP/NDA is in minority in Rajya Sabha.

The move to increase FDI in insurance sector is unwarranted. It is intended to take over the Life Insurance Corporation of India and the PSUs in General Insurance by the Multi National Companies through the increased FDI. The MNCs and private corporates could no so far match the business and service of the LIC.

The proposal to increase the FDI in Insurance should be opposed and defeated.
