Today, 28th February 2018, is important in the history of India. It was on this day that even the last British soldier left India. Though India got Independence from British on 15th August 1947, the British soldiers continued for some more time and the last batch left India on 28th February. It was the complete end of the British army in India after the British government directly took over after the First War of Independence 1857.
