The working class is determined to fight against the anti-worker policies of the government squarely. The Central Government employees went on strike on 16th March this year. Bank employees are going on strike on 22nd August followed by Postal employees on 23rd August 2017. BEML employees went on strike last month as also BSNL employees on 27th July 2017.
The central trade unions have already decided for massive Parliament March followed by a strike, the number of days of which will be decided later.
Yes, 2017 is the year of struggle by workers against the anti-worker, anti-people policies of the government. The working class will never surrender to the attacks by the government. They will never allow the government to suppress their organisation and their demands. Unity and Struggle is their weapon.
UNITY FOR STRUGGLE, STRUGGLE FOR UNITY AND UNITY & STRUGGLE FOR VICTORY.
It is an age old weapon of working class , which most of the present employees participating very reluctantly. SOME CONSIDER AS A LOSS OF PAY HOLIDAY , WHICH ALL PRESENT WORKING CLASS CAN OFFERED.
FOR POSTERING THE PARTY OR UNION HAS TO PAY MONEY , FOR STRIKE BIRIYANI , FRIED RICE AND FREE TRANSPORT.
WHAT FOR THIS DRAMA ?
Strike is a weapon in the hands of the workers before as also at present. The importance of united struggle is well understood. The workers have to be explained about their demands and the importance of struggle.
The middle class Government servants in PSUs and Banks are enjoying much better service conditions, higher wages and so higher security too. Is it a mannah from heaven ? a sudden privilege from the Government? No, we the workers , labourers , employees achieved it through the long and countless struggles and agitations. It is the united power of our Trade Unions that brought all these benefits to us.
Today we are reaping the harvest. The real fruits of the battle lies in the ever expanding Union of our Members. Behind each & every one of our achievements , prosperity and freedom this Suraksha kavach is with us, we should remember that. Now most of Comrades assume that OK, we have much better working conditions and all that, So Why agitate more/ What is the need? Then I would say that most of us are living in a Fool”s Paradise, it won”t take a moment for the management or Govt to snatch away all these comforts and previleges from us. The Central Govt and the Corporate management are joining hands , making calculated moves to take away the hard won rights from us. Purposely they are conducting a willful campaign , which would make our Working Class Consciouness a mere moking. They will device ways to weeken our united power, they have strategies, and among our members also there are tints of weakness – some egoistic clashes, unwanted excessive loyalty , selfishness , narrow mindedness and many more things are there which can weaken our Strength. The various interests and conditions of life within the ranks of the working class are also a threat to the united strength of our labour unions. when we enjoy better living conditions , comforts and even luxuries , when we are free from the bossing and harassment by management, we have the Habit of forgetting the Union , which gained us all in our life. We even discard , we forget the Union, we go on as if , all these previleges we will enjoy forever till retirement and even after that. We see that a growing disinterest among members in attending Union Meetings, in participating demonstrations/ processions , an aversion even to the slogans and finally turning face to Union fund collections!. Just like any other typical Indian Women, many of our Sisters spend their hard earned money and time at Jewelleries and textile shops: and our Men ? they have time to watch cricket and sit at evening parties and share niceties / jokes with friends. But they have no time to attend a 10 minutes demonstration against the inhuman and unjust polices of the Governments. All this is being closely watched by our opponents. Sign of a slightest watering down in the fighting united spirit of the employees , next day, the management will show its imperialistic qualities, will unlash their power, snatching away one by one of our benefits achieved through long periods of struggles .Like me, Lakhs of workers believe in the weapon as Com: VAN says….
Well written Com. Vijaya
