Kerala Chief Minister Com. Pinarayi Vijayan has stated that the state government will not implement the ban on cattle slaughter ordered by the central government. He stated :”The state government will give all facilities to the people to have food of their choice”. He added ” There is no need for Keralites to learn it from anybody in Delhi or Nagpur”. Nagpur is the HQ of RSS.
One is remembered of the bold decision taken by EMS Government in connection with the 19th September 1968 strike of the Central Government employees. When the Indira Government promulgated Essential Service Maintenance Ordinance (ESMO) against the strike, Kerala Chief Minister Com. EMS Namboodiripad announced that he will not implement it in Kerala, despite the threat of the ministry being dismissed.
The Left Democratic Front Government in Kerala was always with the people and their interests.
FYI there is no ban on beef. Only trading for slaughter in market places is discontinued. The move by center is well as per constitution article 48 and as per directives of SC.
Technically it is correct. It has been worded like that since a court case is pending in the Supreme Court and to circumvent that order. The central government could have waited for the final decision of the SC, instead of circumventing it. The government’s intention is very clear that it is to stop cow slaughter.
It’s better to follow the GOI orders. Both ways it’s good. We can protect environment n avoid violence on cattle. More over its Gandhi Ji’s ambition.
Dear Comrade, It is not the orders alone that is creating problem.Even without any such order, the Hindutwa extremists have been attacking people while transporting cattle, preparing food at home etc. This is being done to create communal tension, which will benefit certain political elements. The food habits continuing for centuries is being forced to change. The present order is treated as a licence to attack the minority community. Further, it is an assault on the federal structure of the nation, the central government taking over the powers of the states. There is already a stay on the decision of certain state governments against beef consumption. Even before the Supreme Court’s final decision, why should the centre hastily issue an order circumventing the same?
