BSNL, closure, NITI Ayog, opposition

The PMO has asked Secretary, Telecommunications for the status on the report of the NITI Ayog recommendation to close / transfer to states of BSNL, the telecom PSU. If Modi government thinks that BSNL is for sale, it is completely mistaken. The 2.1 lakh BSNL employees, one lakh contract workers, more than one lakh BSNL retirees and crores of common people of this country will join together to put an end to this brutal attack. The people know that any closure of BSNL will result in at least 10 times increase in the call / data charges by the private companies as in other countries where the telecom sector is handed over to the private companies.

Maximum campaign amongst the people is required to defend BSNL. It is to be remembered that the present attack is being made when BSNL has improved its services and is making operational profit with the full co-ordination of BSNL Management and the workers.

SAY ‘NO’ TO CLOSURE OF BSNL!

India always stood in the forefront of the movement against the human right violation and crushing the democracy. It is now coming close to USA on the back drop of neo liberal policies and it is craving to appease the imperialism. India now keeping away from Non align movement. Bank Workers will Strike on 7th February 2017 on NPA and Demonetisation

Bank Strike, Demonetisation, NPA

The Bank Employees Unions, BEFI, AIBEA and AIBOA has called upon their workers to organise agitational programmes including One Day Strike on 7th February 2017 demanding declaration of the names of the big corporates and others who are to pay back thousands of crores of rupees to the banks (NPA) and also on the miseries being put on the people and the bank workers by demonetisation.

The government and Banks are extra soft on the corporates who have taken loans of thousands of crores of rupees, while they are very strict and merciless against the poor who have taken small loans. At least the government and banks should publish names of these big rich people, whom the government and the banks are making all efforts to save. The government should understand that it is the money of the common people that is being looted by the rich through these bad loans(NPA).

We fully support the decision of the bank associations to go on strike.
