Driver is a good name. But I feel that Pilot is a better name.
Air Pilot, Rail Pilot, Motor Pilot, Car Pilot and so on.
Just like the designation Principal is now gradually being used for Headmasters.
There is no loss for anybody by providing good names. Further it motivates the concerned persons.
Why not Pilot, instead of Driver?

Dear Comrade,I am S.Murugesan, an Ex s man Driver from Chennai Telephones.Ur Idea or the suggestion is superb.We can be called as vehicle operator also.In the recent cader re-designation, our case was not taken up.
At the initial stage of the designation committee both names were suggested by us. But since it was decided to focus first on 4 majority cadres, this was further not discussed. Now discussion will take place.
