Though the Price Index has come down in the last month, there will be no reduction in the IDA w.e.f. 01-04-2016. COL for the last three months are 269, 269 and 267 and hence there is no reduction in the average. As such no change in the IDA – neither increase nor decrease.It will remain as 112.4%.

Good evening sir,
I had joined BSNL in january on CGA basia,I just want to know why our IDA i.e. BSNL employee IDA % is differ from central govt. Employee IDA%.
central govt. Employee present IDA % is 119% but BSNL employee and its pensioners are getting 112.4% IDA effective from january 2016.
Please help me to know this policy better.

Dear Comrade, The pay scales in the Central Government and the PSUs are different.Mostly PSU pay scales are better, like BSNL scles are better than that of DOT. It is CDA for CG Employees and IDA for PSU employees. CDA is calculated for six months and IDA for 3 months. So, naturally, there will be difference.
SIR,ALSO CDA WAS REVISED WEF.1.1.2006 WHERE AS IDA WAS REVISED 1.1.2007 THAT IS BASIC DIFF OF ONE YEAR IDA IS DIFFERENT THAN CDA.QUARTLY AND HALF YEARLY REVISION MAKES NO DIFF AS AICPI IS SAME FOR BOTH
