The joint programme of the BSNL Management and the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations named “Service With A Smile” has started from the New Year Day 2016. The 2.20 lakh officers and employees are determined to make the SWAS a great success and have started the work. We shall restore the past glory of BSNL.

First of all let me wish you a happy and prosperous new year and to all BSNL Employees. Comrade Nice initiative by Unions and Associations, but will it work out with the ITS lobby which is there to derail all the positive intitiative taken by the Management and Unions. First of all let me give you a example of the BBNL which is being run by this ITS lobby for their benefit only. BBNL is giving connections in Urban areas also and the total connections of their network is increasing whereas BSNL connection is on decline. Tenders and all related work of this company is carried out by our employees and this company ties it up with Private Persons and outsource the work wherin we are compelled to give landline along with BB connections to BBNL customers, what are the revenue sharing model is unknown uptill now. ITS has spoiled the entire fabric of this company and wants to dump it when they get a chance to switch to BBNL. The issue is of serious nature and whatever we do the entire revenue arising out of BB will finally have to be shared with others whereas BSNL having the potential to give connections atleast in Urban areas will be deprived off it. Court case for how many years is the question and BSNL Management is also not able to defend its case as they are pressurised by DOT officers who ultimately are ITS officers. Comrade the issue has to taken with Minister and PM as there is some positive steps to bring back the company its lost glory which will not be achieved untill and unless these ITS Officers take a firm decision about their role and responsibility towards our company. Moreover the abosoebed ITS officers are facing the heat from these majority Non Absorbed ITS lobby for carrying out development activities with some of these ITS officers diverting many works for BBNL and NOFN. No doubt NOFN is a dream project of Modi Govt for digital India but these lobby are taking advantage of this project and bringing loss to our company by their wrong policy.

Comrade thanks for taking up the issue, our main competitor in Bangalore is ACT broadband which is giving attractive tariff and gaining more customers in that segment. We are unable to provide FTTH connections and ACT is going door to door to provide fibre BB connections. My previous comment is all out against the ITS policy making which is affecting BSNL prospects. Plans for FTTH of BSNL is more attractive than other operators but we are not able to provide connections, as god only knows when will the issue of feasibiity end. BBNL and NOFN is a escape route for this ITS and they are very serious on these project whereas BSNL development issues are secondary to ITS officers(Non Absorbed).
