The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour will meet at Mumbai on 12th October 2015 to take evidence on the Casual contract labour in BSNL. Five-Six meetings have already been held and BSNLCCWF had given evidence every time. Com.VAN Namboodiri, President, Com. Animesh Mitra Secretary General and other BSNLCCWF leaders are expected to attend the sitting of the meeting.

all these are long pending issues that we’re fighting for 10 years past since the formation of BSNL. and till date after 10 years of UPA era NDA is also doing same to us. What more surprising is that casual workers like us are being paid that minimum wage which had been done 3 years before…Govt should look after this.
The Minimum wage has not increased for the last few years by the Chief Labour Commissioner. But every 6 months the Variable Dearness Allowance is being increased. The latest VDA increase is from 1st October 2015, which order is published in BSNLCCWF website bsnlccwf.com a few days back.
Yes. The Minimum Wage has not been revised for the last few years by the Chief Labour Commissioner. WB circle or Calcutta circle both have introduced ERP system for payment last month but during this festive month the promised timely payment of minimum wages through ERP has again thrashed up as a result casual labourers are in non paid status till date. Circle Union is pressurizing constantly but management is all in silent mode.
The union is trying its best for early payment.
