After the release of the confidential Netaji Files by the W.Bengal government two days back, the demand for the release of the Netaji Files with the Central government has become strengthened. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that he will be meeting the 50 and odd family members of the Bose family by next month. Well and Good!
But Mr. PM, kindly release the files before that. Let people know the facts, the truth!

It is reported that across southeast Europe, nations closed borders, blocked bridges, shut down trains and built new razor-wire fences today in a rush to block tens of thousands seeking safety in Western Europe from crossing their territories.
The rapid-fire, often contradictory border decisions came as each nation tried to shift the burden of handling the huge influx onto their neighbors, leaving asylum-seekers even more angry, confused and desperate.
Croatia declared it was overwhelmed and began busing migrants in convoys back to Hungary and closing its border crossings with Serbia. Slovenia shut down rail service to Croatia and was sending migrants back there, while Hungary began building yet another new razor-wire border fence, this time on its Croatian border.
After Croatia blocked off a bridge from Serbia, leaving scores of people stranded for hours in the hot sun, Serbian authorities just transported them to another area where they could enter Croatia illegally.
With more than 15,400 migrants arriving in just three days, Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic declared that his nation of 4.2 million could no longer cope and asylum seekers could not stay.
“What else can we do?” Milanovic said at a news conference. “You are welcome in Croatia and you can pass through Croatia. But go on. Not because we don’t like you, but because this is not your final destination.” Nineteen Croatian buses carried migrants across the border Friday to Beremend, Hungary, where they were put on Hungarian buses to go to registration points.
Hungary’s foreign minister, Peter Szijjarto, called the Croatian prime minister’s handing of the migrant crisis “pathetic,” the MTI news agency reported. (Press Report)

The VII CPC is going to submit its recommendations by this month or within the end of the year. The Pay revision will be with effect from 01-01-2016. In the case of PSU employees, it is to be from 01-01-2017.
For the executives in the PSUs, there will be a Pay Revision Committee. For the non-executives, it will be wage negotiation between the management and the recognised union/s. The negotiations last time took three – four years due to protracted discussions.
So it is necessary that the negotiation should start without any delay.

The released files on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose do not give any clear proof, whether he died in the air crash or lived for many years more. But one fact has come clear that the family of Bose was continuously spied and snooped upon. We can understand if the British Government has done it. But the government of free India continued this spying is completely unacceptable. The government should apologise for the same.
The next question is why the government was snooping? Was the Nehru government afraid of the revolutionary Bose coming back? Whether the government wanted to try Bose for treason as was the case with the other INA leaders?
These are questions the people of the country want to know as also whether any conspiracy was there between the Indian Government and the British Government ?
It is imperative and urgent that the Central Govt. also should release the Netaji Files , which will contain more information than what is released by the W.Bengal government.
We sympathise with the Bose family who were given a raw treatment by the government.

Around 30,000 people rallied in Helsinki on Friday against the Finnish government’s harsh austerity measures, as a strike shut down the country’s public transport, postal and harbour services and grounded some domestic flights.
Huge crowds braved a blustery thunderstorm to join the demonstration in a central square of the Finnish capital at midday, in a festive atmosphere with balloons and pop music blaring from speakers.
“No way!” read placards carried by some demonstrators, who numbered around 30,000 according to both organisers and police.
Finnish Prime Minister Juha Sipila last week announced plans to revive the eurozone country’s slumping economy after three years of recession, including cutting back holidays, reducing pensioners’ housing allowances and slashing employees’ overtime and Sunday pay. (Courtesy: Ganashakti)

Com.VAN Namboodiri, President, BSNLCCWF, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the brutal exploitation of the contract workers engaged by BSNL in UP and especially in Varanasi, where they are paid only about Rs. 1,500 – 2000 in a month, though they are eligible for more than Rs.7,000 – 8,000. Neither EPF nor ESI is implemented for them which are as per the law of the land.
Of course, the Prime Minister’s office intervened. The Chief Labour Commissioner wrote to Dy. Chief Labour Commissioner, then the latter wrote to the Asst. Labour Commissioner etc. with copy to Com.VAN Namboodiri. But afterwards nothing happened. The brutal exploitation continues.
We thought that at least when the PM visits his constituency, some thing will be done. But nothing so far. The hard working contract labours are still being exploited inhumanly.
In Mizapur, the labours have been on hunger strike demanding that their arrears of wage for months be paid.
Is it that PMO is not interested or the BSNL Management at the local level do not care for PMO’s directions? Anyway, it is the toiling worker and his family who suffers.

It was nothing less than history created by the more than 40 lakhs of Central government employees. The One Day Token Strike of 19th September 1968 will ever remain as a Red Star in the minds of all those who participated and those who heard about it. The martyrs who sacrificed their lives before the gun shots of the cruel government or the Railwaymen who were crushed under the Railway engines will ever be remembered by the Central Government employees. It was only a One Day Token Strike, but it was dealt with like a rebellion or mutiny by the despotic government.
The demands were fully justified. Grant of Minimum Wage recommended by the 15th Labour Conference of 1957, Full Neutralisation of cost of living, Merger of DA with Pay, No casual-Contract-Contingency system, Settle issues of the ED and Casual labour – these are nothing but the ground level demands. But the Central Govt. was not prepared to concede them. It wanted to crush the workers movement, never to come back again. Essential Service Maintenance Ordinance(ESMO) was issued making the strike participants liable to be arrested and sent to jail. Even those outsiders who support the strike also will be arrested.
Thousands and thousands of workers were arrested. All India leaders in Delhi were arrested and sent to jail. Thousands were suspended, terminated and heavy punishments imposed. It was state terror on the poor CG employees who were only asking for a minimum wage to maintain their families. Rarely can be seen such cruelty in the annals of history.
In Kerala, when the then Chief Minister Com. EMS Namboodiripad heading the Left Ministry refused to implement ESMO, the Central Government threatened that the state government will be dismissed. But Com. EMS stood to his ground and openly supported the strike. The anger against the state government resulted in more victimisation by the Central Government.
As a participant of the strike, I still remember the people who gathered in thousands in front of each exchange and office and supported the workers despite the ESMO and Black Rules. Calicut, where I was working was one of the divisions, which had to face the maximum punishment and victimisation. Along with a few comrades, we were under suspension for about long three years and then transferred outside the division. Criminal cases were filed against us. Leaders were banned from entering offices.But all the comrades faced the brutal attack without any complaint. This was the case every where. The workers understood that the Indira Gandhi government wanted to crush the CGE movement and especially the Posts and Telegraph movement. But we never surrendered or moved an inch back. We fought back to the last to ensure that each and every worker dismissed and terminated is taken back.
The strike was utilised by the government to float a new union, FNPTO, to support its policy. But it did not make any dent in the TU movement.
There are pages and pages to be written on the sacrifices of the workers in connection with the strike, which can be done later. The strike was historic in more than one sense. The same government which refused to accept the demands were compelled to implement some of them afterwards. Each and every struggle is not vain. The result may come immediately or later. Secondly, the government understood that the P and T movement can not be crushed.
On this 47th Anniversary of the One Day Token Strike of 19th September 1968, our Red Salutes to those Comrades who held the Red Flag of the Union till their last moment and sacrificed their valuable lives for the cause of the working class.

The contract labour in Mirzapur SSA were on hunger strike for the last three days demanding payment of minimum wages etc. Yesterday Com.VAN Namboodiri, President, BSNLCCWF met GM(Admn) as also GM(Estt.) and discussed with the need for immediate intervention. They assured to take necessary action.

The Committee formed under the chairmanship of ED(CN) Shri M.C.Chaube to study and report on the contract labour issues of Kerala Circle will meet today, 18th September 2015. Shri R.M.Subbiah, Sr.GM(NWO-CM) from Kerala is also participating. The union representative from Kerala, Com. K.Mohanan will be invited to the meeting later.
