Kolkata ,August 14th –Noted  Intellectuals of the state today embraced the road  protesting against the TMC sponsored Anarchy in the state . Former Justice of Supreme Court , Noted Lawyers ,  Former Vice Chancellors  and poets and litterateurs  today joined in a high impact rally from  College Square to Dharmatolla( in the heart of the city ) urging the common people of the state to join in protest against the ongoing anarchy in the state.  Armed with posters, placard and festoons the rally showcased the anger of the states Intelligentsia against the nefarious incidents of Political murders, rapes and molestation targeted against the state’s common by the ruling TMC hooligans.

Shiladitwa Choudhury, a farmer, who was imprisoned by Mamata Banerjee herself, as a Maoist  for daring to question her in a TMC rally  years earlier ,  today came in the rally wearing chains  as a mark of police and administrations torture against him and the common people in the state . He took part in a street play in the rally marking the ongoing police and administrative excesses rained on the people who dares to open their mouth against the tyrannical administration in the state.

Former Justice Of Supreme Court Ashok Gangapadhya , Former State Assembly Speaker Hashim Abdul Halim , Noted Lawyer Bikashranjan  Bhattacharya, Arunava Ghosh, litterateur  Shopnomoy Chakraborty , Actress  Rupa Ganguly ,political commentator Ajijul Haq , Former Vice Chancellor and educationist  Prof Dr. Pabitra Sarkar , Prof Dr. Ashoknath Basu , Prof Dr. Anandadeb Mukhapadhya, Painter Samir Aich  were amongst the noted intellectuals who took part in the rally along with thousands of teachers , students and professors and people from all walks of life . It can be recalled that  Noted Film Director  Mrinal Sen ,  Former Loksabha Speaker Somenath Chatterjee , Poet Sankhya Ghosh were unable to walk the rally due to their advanced age but had conveyed their moral support towards the rally .

Speaking after the rally  Former Justice of Supreme Court Ashok Gangapadhya told reporters that the rally showcase the apathy of common people towards the tyrannical administration which trying to muffle out  the protesting voices in the state .  Noted Lawyer Bikashranjan Bhattacharya said that the protests message will go far and the nefarious incidents which are continuously happening in the state , be it the murder of College student inside a college at Sabang of West Medinipore district , or the murder of Abu Bakkar ,a political activist who had demanded for Government relief material sans any political identity, all these heinous incidents should stop  immediately” .
