BSNL was always in the first position in Land lines and Broadband with its valuable cables and OFC. It was thought no body can capture that position. But unfortunately, the latest statistics from TRAI gives another picture. BSNL has been relegated to the second position by Airtel.
The present market share in Broadband is as follows: Airtel 21.48%, BSNL 20.18%, Vodafone 18.91%, Idea 14.94 % and Reliance 14.94%. The balance are with small companies.
Now it is only in landline that BSNL is in No. 1 position. But again, BSNL lost 1.32 lakh connections in January 2015 alone. At present BSNL has got 1.68 crore connections only.
In mobile sector BSNL lost 12.36 connections in January 2015. At present it has got only 8.01 crore mobile connections just more than one third of what Airtel has got, which is 22.0 crore.
SAVE BSNL – SAVE NATION Campaign has to be energitised. The Management and workers have to discuss why the loss is happening and find out remedies to improve our position.

Dear Comrade, Yes BSNL is weakening. It is our duty to do all efforts to make it stronger.
Landline decline is inevitable. Its the world towards mobility. We cant stop that. The end user connectivity should be only wireless.The main ghost in front of us is RJio which is aiming at our broadband customers. If we dont wake up, there is every chance that our BB advantage ll be a past glory.
True. Already we have lost the first position in Broadband. Maximum efforts are required to regain our past glory.
Not only BSNL for that matter worries the old timers who are using telephones for decades. There was a stage, phone was rare commodity, and service was awfully discouraging. Now the changed age group of people: no more interested for state owned communication system. They want fast and reliable and dependable service but not the won that BSNL still quoting their good old days.
That is why the BSNL Employees are trying to improve the services with all the existing limitationheave BSNL Campaign is part of it.

I have gone through the report of stolen cable of BSNL. This is happening in many places.Forum had much earlier also demanded that strict action should be taken. In some cases, private companies like Airtel are also doing mischief. in those cases, we have demanded that case should be filed against the CMD of the company. We should take the matter seriously.
Stil BSNL has alot of chance …. Main thing s bsnl mobile market s nt up to the mark … Nw a days Bsnl netwrk s nt reachng to public connectivity we need mre bsnl netwrk adverticment …
These are demands in the strike. We should make maximum propaganda among the public.
sir of course private players are there behind such massacres but public relationship is what much more needed effort that BSNL suppose to provide to get back into the country’s largest telephony’s rank. looking forward to see BSNL as it was before and i am a die
