The target of the government to connect 2,50,000 villages by optic fibre by December 2016 will not be feasible, since only 50,000 village panchayat only has been connected so far. The government fixes the projects but is unable to complete it. This is the situation. The estimated cost of the project is a huge Rs. 30,000 crore.
