In a very clever move, more than 500 companies are reported to have approached the Labour Ministry to allow their employees to have option, how their salaries are paid to them, so that they can have more home-take pay.
It will seem to be an innocent proposal and favourable to the workers. But the fact is that, it is completely against the workers and in favour of the managements. At present EPF is compulsory at 12% deduction from the salary and should be remitted to the EPF organisation with an equal contribution from the employer. According to the new suggestion, the employee can decide whether to contribute to the EPF or not, or to opt for the New pension Scheme. If the worker opt not to contribute to EPF, then the employer need not pay his contribution, thus saving a lot of money and deny the same to the employee.
The Labour Ministry should not accept the suggestion, which is completely against the interest of the workers.
EPFO is not caring for the pensioners as pension amount is very less with respect to Central gov. Pension. There is lot of disparity in the pensioners rules & central government does not bother for senior citizens. NATIONAL Airports Authority was made in oct 89 by enactment of Parliament. It & IAAI WERE merged into AAI ON 1ST APRIL 95.AAI OPETED FOR EPFO PENSION FROM 1ST APRIL 95 & “DID NOT BOTHER FOR OUR SERVICE IN NAA FROM OCT TO MARCH 95. We lost our pension for this period. Due to making of PSU our reduce to very low inspite of full service in central gov/PSU. WE GOT CENT. GOV PENSION FOR OUR SERVICE IN CIVIL AVIATION DEPARTMENT UPTO SEPT 89& NO PENSION TILLMARCH 95&EPFO PENSION FROM APRIL 95 PENSION IS ON THE MERCY OF CENTRAL GOV. OR PSU CHOICE. NO ONE IS BOTHER ING FOR THE SOCIEO ECONOMIC BENIFITS FOR THE RETIRED EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE SERVED THE GOV PSU FOR FOURTY YEARS. IT IS COMPLETE UNJUSTICE WITH THE EMPLOYEES. THANKS. S.S.BUDHRAJA. Yes Comrade. Serious injustice is being meted out to the pensioners and senior citizens. United struggles and sustained efforts are required to get justice to the pensioners.
