Negotiated settlement always welcome. BSNL management also now understand the participative management of the Company. It is a welcome trend.
12) Regularisation of the left out TSMs and Casual Labourers:- Management side said that this can not be done in view of the judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. ——— synopsis is Management if playing with the life of casual labourers and after passing long years union did not settled this issue. Union’s speech will be that “we have to carry on struggle, as before we have done”.
Dear Comrade,
The BSNL Employees Union is committed to the cause of regularisation of the casual labours. Since October 2000, left out casual labours were being regularised as and when the recommendations were being received from the circles. About 4,000 casual labours have already been regularised between 2000 and 2006. But after 2006, the management is taking the plea that on the basis of the judgment of 5 judges Bench of the Supreme Court, regularisation can not be made. Despite several agitations, the management has refused to regularise the left out casual labour.
The BSNLEU and the BSNLCCWF is examining the option of filing an appeal against the supreme Court judgement. BSNLEU and BSNLCCWF are very serious about the issue.

Dear Comrade,
As has been mentioned several times in this blog, BSNLEU has taken up the issue years back to reduce the service period for LICE to 5 years, but the management agreed to 5 years only. Further please give your name and address so that I could answer your questions. Otherwise, it will not be possible to reply.
