BSNL employees are eligible for a DA increase of 4.2% w.e.f. January 2013 as per the cost of living index.The total IDA will now be 71.5% ( 67.3% plus 4.2%). Orders are yet to be issued.

The IDA has crossed the 50% months back. BSNLEU has demanded merger of 50% IDA with pay. Joint agitation is required in the matter.
