The Government of India has acquired the House in London, where Dr. Ambedkar stayed while he was studying in London School of Economics during 1921-22. The deal to hand over the Rs. 31 crore property has been clinched on 27th August at London. The 2,050 Sq. feet house is situated at 10, King Henry’s Road in London.
It is stated that the house will be made a monument to the architect of the Indian Constitution. A decision to be appreciated.

Another promise by Modi Government is broken. It was assured earlier that the declassification of files connected with Netaji Subhas Bose will be favourably examined. It is 70 years since the disappearance of Netaji after a plane accident. One view is that he died in the accident on 18th August 1945 and his body is laid to rest in a temple in Japan. The other view is that he survived the accident and lived incognito.
There is not an iota of doubt that he is no more. The people has got a right to know what happened to the revolutionary leader who fought for the freedom of the country. But now, once again, the government has decided not to declassify the Netaji Files and make it public. This time, the plea for not declassifying is that it will adversely affect relations with foreign countries.
This is a bogus plea. Finding out the truth about an incident happened about 70 years ago is not have any major effect on any body.
The Government needs to rethink on the matter.

VAN Nambodiri, President, BSNLCCWF, G.L.Jogi, President SNEA, K.Sebastin, General Secretary SNEA and M.C.Balakrishna, AGS BSNLEU met Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL and demanded that Shri MSS Rao, CGM, Kerala be immediately transferred out of Kerala Circle as agreed in the meeting of the unions and management held at Thiruvananthapuram chaired by Shri N.K.Gupta, Director (CFA) on 20th August 2015. Any delay in the matter will result in further agitational programmes from 1st September 2015. It was also brought to his notice that after joining back from leave, the CGM is creating further troubles which will adversely affect the workers effort to improve the services. The vigilance /CBI enquiry against the officer was also pointed out. Any further day being allowed the present CGM to continue in Kerala will only result in further agitation programmes by the concerned workers..
We hope that the CMD will take immediate action in the matter by shifting the present CGM from Kerala. We congratulate the Kerala workers for their sustained struggle for getting justice.

On Gujarat Violence
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) condemns the violence which has engulfed various parts of Gujarat resulting in arson and deaths of nine people. The manner in which the police and the administration handled the aftermath of the August 25 rally organized by the Pattidar organizations contributed to the eruption of violence. The CPI(M) calls for the immediate restoration of peace and normalcy.
The wide-spread agitation for reservation for Pattidars is a clear indication of the failure of the so-called Gujarat model of development. It has led to lack of employment opportunities, agrarian crisis and low social development indicators. Unless there is balanced development with equity, large sections of the people will remain outside the ambit of social and economic development.
The demand for reservation should not be used to pit one community against another. Those who are entitled to reservation should not be targeted for the failure of the government to render jobs and equitable development.

In a significant judgment, the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday 18.8.2015 directed the Uttar Pradesh government to make it mandatory for the government employees and those serving in the local bodies to send their kids to government-run primary schools. In its order, the HC asked the state government to take appropriate steps to ensure that these guidelines are implemented from the next academic session.
While hearing a group of petitions by Shiv Kumar Pathak and several others, the HC bench of JusticeIn case the government employees fail to send their kids to the government primary schools, an amount, which they are paying as fee for their wards in private schools, will be deducted from their salaries every month. The court also directed the chief secretary to submit a compliance report in next six months. Agarwal also suggested strict penalties for those officials/employees failing to follow the new rules.

It is reported that the new Chairman of the Public Sector NTPC may be from the private sector. Some of the PSU Banks are also going to be imposed by private sector people. This is completely inappropriate and against the interests of the respective PSUs.
This anti-PSU policy is to be resisted and defeated.

The Hunger strike and dharna at Jantar Mantar by the retired defence pensioners are strengthening every day. The leaders who were on hunger strike and have been hospitalised have refused food and are continuing the hunger strike. Now many widows of the war veterans have joined the dharna at Jantar Mantar.
The government is dilly dallying and delaying the decision on One Rank One pension, which was an election promise. Prime Minister Modi was expected to announce the same on 15th August Independence Day speech. But nothing happened, as on other promises.
The people who defends our land and sacrifice their lives for the country can not be defenceless in their time of need. Extend all support to the fully justified demand of the Defence Pensioners.

The tenure of the VII Central Pay Commission has been extended by four months to December 2015 by the government. It was expected that it will submit its report by 28th August 2015, but now it may be submitted only by December 2015. The recommendations are to be implemented from 01-01-2016, ten years after the last wage revision. There is a rumour that the Pay panel is going to suggest for constituting a permanent body for giving recommendations.

The meeting between the Group of Ministers headed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and the Central trade Union leaders did not make any headway since there was no concrete proposals from the government for settling the major demands raised by the CTUs. The talks will continue tomorrow.
The Central TU leaders called upon the workers to fully prepare for the strike since no concrete proposals have come from the government. Anyhow, they will attend the meeting tomorrow.
Make the 2nd September Strike a big success.
