Task Force to reduce the employment in government services

New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has constituted a five-member task force to rationalise central government staff and ensure their maximum optimisation.

The task force will be headed by Establishment Officer and Additional Secretary in Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Rajiv Kumar and it will submit its report next month, officials said today.

The prime minister has approved the proposal to constitute a task force to examine the issues of rationalisation and optimisation of human resource in various ministries to align them with financial resources and focus areas of the government, they said. (Press Report).

It is very clear that the government want to reduce the number of employees drasticaly. That is the intention of this task force for rationalisation and optimisation. This will further reduce the employment chances for the unemployed.

This has o be strongly opposed by not only the unemployed and youth organisations but by all progressive sections.

78.2% IDA Pension Fixation – Organise Dharna on 10th March 2016

AIBDPA has called upon its Circle/SSA Units to organise massive dharnas on 10th March 2016 demanding immediate orders on 78.2% IDA Pension fixation for pre-2013 as also pre-2007 pensioners.

Organise the programme effectively  in all places.

Verification Campaign in NTR Circle on 2nd March 2016

A massive meeting was held at Sabhaghar, NTR, Delhi on 2nd March 2016 in connection with the campaign for VII Membership Verification to be held on 10th May 2016. The meeting was presided over by Com. T.C.Nagar, President. Comrades P.Abhimanyu, GS BSNLEU, Swapan Chakraborty, Dy. GS, R.S.Chauhan, Circle Secretary NTR and Org. Secretary, CHQ, V.A.N. Namboodiri, Patron and other leaders addressed.  The workers assured the leaders that BSNLEU will get first position in NTR.

78.2% IDA Pension – Meeting with Secretary, DOT

Shri. J.S.Deepak , Secretary, Department of Telecom has assured the AIBDPA delegation that he will do the needful in extending the benefit of 78.2% IDA merger to BSNL pensioners. The delegation consisting Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor, Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary and Com.R.A.Nair, Treasurer handed over him the letter of intimation of the Tirupati AIC’s decision for countrywide Mass Dharna on 10-03-2016 demanding immediate settlement of 78.2% IDA merger and the list of new office bearers elected by the All India Conference.

However unless and until something emerges positively in clear terms there will not be any change in our decision of Mass Dharna on 10-03-2016.

MEETING WITH CABINET SECRETARY

Empowered Committee of Secretaries headed by Cabinet Secretary has held first round of discussion with JCM National Council  Standing Committee members on strike Charter of demands on 1st March 2016. Staff Side explained the justification of each and every demand  and conveyed the large scale resentment among the Central Government Employees to the Cabinet Secretary . Cabinet Secretary has not made any commitment on any demand. He informed that this is only a preliminary interaction with the Staff Side.

Stop this attack on the workers; Rescind Tax proposal on EPF Withdrawal

The Budget proposal to impose tax on the withdrawal of GPF is wrong, unethical and an attack on the hard earned money of the employees and workers. There should be strong protest from the working class.

We demand that the government should withdraw / rescind the proposal immediately!

‘SWAS’ – out of 100 days, 60 days are over; What is the Update?

Out of the 100 Days programme for Revival of BSNL under “SWAS’ (Service With A Smile), started from 1st January, 60 days are completed by 29th February 2016. it is utmost necessary to have an up-date in the matter after 60% of the period is over.

What is the actual increase in (a) Telephone connections (2) Market rate (c) revenue (d) satisfaction level of the customers and other connected matters? This is very much necessary to plan the future programmes. The BSNL Management and the unions should assess the situation and plan for the next stage.

No increase of limit in Income Tax exemption, But reduction of tax for corporates

The pro-corporate, anti-people policy of the NDA government has once again been revealed and exposed. While there is no increase of the lower limit for exemption of income tax, which will benefit the common people and the working class, the corporate tax is reduced by 5%, which will benefit the privileged class.
