Gratuity issue for the casual labours —Corporate Office issued another quarries to the circles.
Corporate Office issued another reminder to collect the number of casual labours who have expired or left the dept after formation of BSNL. Though most of the circles where casual labours are recorded in big number had sent the figure long days back. But the management is not so serious to settle the issue. They are passing the time without any logic. The govt rule is very clear that any labour who is in 5 years continuous service in any establishment is eligible to get the benefit of Gratuity.
BSNL Casual and Contract Workers Federation has taken up the issue of Gratuity for the casual and contract labours with the BSNL Management. BSNL Management has also taken up the issue in the board meeting. BSNL employees union has also taken up the issue in the 35th National Council meeting. Perhaps the next NC meeting will be held on 13th of this month. That’s why they have asked the circles about the latest information. In the last occasion when we met Dir.(HR) and made a request to settle the gratuity issue without further delay. Hope, this time we will get some new information to settle the gratuity issue.
