മേൽപ്പാതകൾക്ക് പ്രസക്തിയേറുന്നു.
സ്ഥലം കുറവും, മറ്റു പല സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെയും അപേക്ഷിച്ചു ജന സാന്ത്രതയും വാഹന സാന്ത്രതയും കൂടുതലുമുള്ള സംസ്ഥാനമാണ് കൊച്ചുകേരളം. അത് കാരണം ദേശീയ പാതയെന്നോ, ഗ്രാമീണ പാതയെന്നോ വ്യത്യാസമില്ലാതെ നിരത്തുകളിൽ വൻ തിരക്കാണ്. എറണാകുളം തുടങ്ങി പല നഗരങ്ങളിലും വാഹനങ്ങൾ ഇഞ്ചിഞ്ചായി മുന്നോട്ട് പോകേണ്ട സ്ഥിതിയാണ്.
ആറു വരി പാതയും എട്ടുവരി പാതയുമെല്ലാം പൂർത്തീകരിക്കുമ്പോഴും തിരക്കൊഴിയുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയില്ല. ഈ വിഷമസ്ഥിതിക്ക് പരിഹാരമുണ്ടോ?
വിദഗ്ധനല്ലാത്ത ഒരു സാധാരണക്കാരൻ എന്ന നിലയിൽ ചില അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ കുറിക്കട്ടെ?
1. ദേശീയ പാതകൾക്കും വൻതിരക്കുള്ള പാതകൾക്കും മേലെ, മേൽപ്പാതകൾ നിർമിക്കുക. മെട്രോ പല നഗരങ്ങളിലും പാതയുടെ മേലെ ആണല്ലോ. ചെലവ് കൂടിയാലും സ്ഥലം ലഭ്യമാകും.
2. ടാക്സികൾ, ഓട്ടോ റിക്ഷകൾ എന്നിവകളിൽ ഷേറിംഗ് രീതി നടപ്പാക്കുക. കൂടുതൽ പൊതുവാഹനങ്ങൾ ഇറക്കുക.
3. ബസ് , മെട്രോ തുടങ്ങിയ പൊതുവാഹനങ്ങളിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുക.
4. ചെറു ദൂരം ആണെങ്കിൽ നടക്കുക.
5. പാതക്കിരുവശവും വാഹനങ്ങൾ സ്ഥിരമായി പാർക്ക്‌ ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഒഴിവാക്കുക.
6. ട്രാഫിക് നിയമങ്ങൾ കർശനമായി പാലിക്കുക, ലംഘിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് മാതൃകപരമായ ശിക്ഷ.
ഇനിയും പല നിർദേശങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകാം. എങ്കിലും മേൽപ്പാതകളുടെ പ്രസക്തി വേറെയാണ്.

വയോജനങ്ങളോട് മാത്രം.
ഐ സി യു വിലും വെന്റിലേറ്ററിലും ആരെയും കാണാതെ, ആർക്കും കാണാൻ കഴിയാതെ കിടന്നു മരിക്കുന്നതാണോ, അതല്ല മക്കളെയും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളെയും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെയുമെല്ലാം കണ്ടു, അവരോട് വിട പറഞ്ഞു പോകാനാണോ താല്പര്യം?
എനിക്ക് താല്പര്യം രണ്ടാമത്തേതാണ്. മരണം അടുത്തെന്നു ഡോക്ടർക്ക് വ്യക്തമായാൽ പിന്നെ ഐ സി യു വും, വെന്റിലേറ്ററും ഒഴിവാക്കി എല്ലാവരെയും കണ്ടു ചിരിച്ചു പോകണമെന്നാണ് ആഗ്രഹം. ആദ്യം തന്നേ, ഐ സി യുവും വെന്റിലേറ്ററും വേണമെന്നില്ല.
അഭിപ്രായം ശരിയാകാം, അല്ലായിരിക്കാം.

Super Height and Weight

Humans are getting taller and heavier. Prepare for the future!
The tallest man ever was Robert Wadlow with a height of 8 ft 11.1 in (2.72 m) while his weight reached 439 lb (199 kg) at his death at age 22. His great size and his continued growth in adulthood were due to hypertrophy of his pituitary gland, which results in an abnormally high level of human growth hormone (HGH). ( from fb ).
Of course, it was an unusual height due to abnormally high level of a specific hormone. However humans are increasing in weight and height. Earlier it was rare to have a man above 6 ft 6 inches. Now there are large number of people with height up to 7 ft. Names of a few persons are given below :

2. Mathew McGrory 7′ 6″
3. Yao Mung 7′ 6″
4. Andre the Giant 7′ 4″
5. Kelvin Peter Hall 7′ 3″
6. Kareem Abdul Jabbar 7′ 2″

Some of them are basket players, boxers, film stars etc and are healthy.
In due course, the height may reach reach up to 8 ft. also.
Therefore there is a necessity to rearrange every thing in one’s life to suit the increase of height, weight etc. Better earlier than late.

Red Salute to Com.Moni Bose on his 14th death anniversary!

19th May 2024 is the 14th death anniversary of Com.Moni Bose, former General Secretary of E.III Union and the first Patron of BSNLEU. Since his joining the P&T in the 1945, he was active in the P&T Union movement and participated in the historic 1946 P&T strike and was terminated from service for leading the proposed 1949 strike.

He was never taken back in service, but continued his service to the workers in the Union till his death in 2010. He fought for the correct policies in NFPTE along with his elder brother and President of NFPTE Com.K.G.Bose. It was a great moment for the entire telecom workers, when he was elected as the General Secretary of E.III Union in 1991. Later he became President in 1994. He was late elected as Patron, when the BSNLEU was formed.

He was a comrade in its real meaning. I cherish the more than 40 years of close comradeship with him. His life partner Com.Jytosna was a partner both in his union activities and personal life. She also passed a few years back.

Comrade P. Sundarayya ( 01.05.1919 – 19.05.1985 ).
19th May 2024 is the 39th death anniversary of Com. P. Sundarayya, the first General Secretary of CPI(M) and also the undisputed leader of the historic Telengana armed struggle against the Nizam.
He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1952. Later elected to the Madras Legislative Assembly. His life was full of struggles. He was arrested and jailed many times.
He was very simple in his life. He used to go to Parliament on his cycle and simple dress. In Sundarayya Vigyaan Kendra at Hyderabad, constructed in honour of him, there is a library in which about 30,000 books are taken from his collection.
In the formation and strengthening of CPI(M), great is his contribution.

Com. E. K. Nayanar ( 09.12.1919 – 19.05.2004 )

20 years are over after Com. E. K. Nayanar, the three time Chief Minister of Kerala, left us. He was one of the PB members of the CPI (M ) and State Secretary, Kerala.

He was very popular with his humour and smiling face. Earlier jailed many times. Wrote many books.

ജനങ്ങളെ തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും അസത്യവുമായ പരസ്യങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ സർക്കാരുകളും പൊതുപ്രവർത്തകരും രംഗത്തിറങ്ങുമോ? അല്ല, പഴയ രീതിയിൽ മൗനം പാലിക്കുമോ?
