The people of India have to pay much more for every thing from April 1st onwards as per budget provisions.The freight charges, platform tickets, electronic goods – the list is long. The Ache Din promised during elections is only for corporates and the rich. This is the government of corporates and rich only.

A well attended Seminar on ” Relevance of PSUs in Telecom” was held in Press Club, Lucknow today, 31 March 2015, under the auspices of Forum of BSNL unions and Associtions. Com.Anoop Kumar Mishra (SNEA) presided. Com.R.K.Mishra, Convener Forum, welcomed. Dr. C.S.Verma, Shri Shailendra Dubey and Com. VAN Namboodiri, National Convener  Forum addressed.  Various aspects of the subject was debated. It was a very educative seminar which gave a lot of necessary information. The entire house decided to make the 21-22 April strike demanding Revival of BSNL a great success.

A meeting of the active workers of AIBDPA was organised at Lucknow today. Com.S.I.Ahmed, President, presided. Com.GR.Varma, Circle Secretary welcomed.Com.VAN Namboodiri, All India Advisor, addressed and reported all recent developments. It was decided to increase the AIBDPA members and form association units in all SSAs.

A Circle Executive Committee meeting of BSNLCCWF was held today, 31st March 2015 at Lucknow. Com.R.K.Mishra, Circle President presided. The report on activities was presented by Com.Jeet Lal Maurya, Circle Secretary. Coms.K.R.Yadav, All India Vice President, Com.G.R.Varma, Circle Secretary AIBDPA and other leaders addressed. All the district secretaries reported about the organisational issues and problems in their districts.
Com. VAN Namboodiri, All India President, BSNLCCWF, addressed the house and spoke in detail about the demands of casual and contract workers, the struggles organised by the union etc
The CEC took important decisions both about the programmes and other activities.

The private telecom companies are continuously pressing for increasing  telecom tatiffs, stating that India’ s tariff is the lowest, high amount paid for recent spectrum has to be compensated and even now companies are under loss.
These are not fully correct. These private companies are not in loss. There are 82 countries in the world which are having lower tariffs. And the present bid money is to be paid in instalments of a number of years.
This pressure for increase for tariff is to maximise profit only.

Rahul Gandhi, Vice-President and President designate of Congress President is missing from the public for the last more than one month. Neither his mother Sonia Gandhi nor Congress spokepersons are not revealing his whereabouts. We need not peep in to the private lives of persons. But a public figure can not miss long like this. It is stated that Rahul Gandhi will appear by 19 April. Well, at least some news have come. Well and good! But an explanation is due to the people.

The government not only took away all the cash balance of BSNL, but also is noy paying what is due to it.
Rs.6,700 crore is to be paid by govt. for the BWA spectrum surrendered by BSNL. Rs.1250 crore has been allotted to BSNL in lieu ADC for 2012-13.
Both these amount due to BSNL should be paid to BSNL to enable it to purchase equipment, which is urgently required.
Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad should ensure that these amounts are paid to BSNL.

Medical Allowance being paid to BSNL Pensioners has been stopped since last three years. Pensioners are suffering. Some retirees have passed away. More may expire without getting the MA.
BSNL Management has to remember that these are the workers who toiled and provided service  for 30-40 years.

Management should urgently restore the Medical Allowance to Pensioners. It is their responsibility not a favour.
