Good news for Delhi citizens. Delhi has come out of the bad name of the’Worst Polluted City’ in the world. According to data released by World Health Organisation (WHO), Delhi is only at the 11th position in World. It is below in pollution to Gwalior (2nd), Allahabad(3rd), Patna(6th) and Raipur(7th). Zabol in Iran is the most polluted in the world at No.1.
AAP Government in Delhi deserves appreciation and support in reducing pollution through its manyfold actions, though BJP, Congress, private car manufacturers and some interested parties have criticised the moves for their own self interest. They should understand that health of citizens are more important than either their political or profit concerns.

The NPS contributions are managed by Govt/PSU Fund Managers LIC Pension Fund, SBI Pension Funfd and UTI Retiremement Solutions. The Central Government has now decided giving option for the depositors to
invest in private pension fund thus exposing the hard earned money to the vagaries of market. It is to be noted that some of these private funds are in loss, which may result in loss of NPS investments also. Be careful about same before giving option.

The counting starts today for results of membership verification in BSNL. What are the concerns of the unions?
1. For BTEU, the concern is to get 2% and retain the present status.
2. For FNTO, its concern is to get 7% and a seat in Councils, which it missed last time.
3. For NFTE, the concern is that BSNLEU should not get above 50%, which will result in it’s derecognition.
4. For BSNLEUCHQ, it’s concern is to get above 50% and become Sole Bargaining Agent.
By today afternoon, the concerns will be answered.
In case, BSNLEU becomes Sole Bargaining Agent, a new situation will arise which will require many changes in the process of recognition and negotiations.
Let us wait and see!

Grievance Description : Dated: 29.04.2016 To Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, New Delhi – 110001 Respected Sir, Sub: Change of nomenclature of employees as ‘Non-Gazetted’, ‘Non-Executive’ etc. – Change required. At present, the employees in Central government are mainly divided in to two categories viz. Gazetted and Non-Gazetted. In the same way, the employees in Central Public Sector Units are divided in to ‘Executive’ and ‘Non-Executive’. The nomenclature ‘Non-Gazetted’ and ‘Non-Executive’ is a negative term, which means one is ‘not Gazetted’ and ‘not Executive’. Such nomenclatures are part of legacy of the British colonialism. It may be remembered that the British called the Indians as ‘Natives’ to denigrate them. There is a need to change these nomenclatures which demean the employee, who should have a positive name, instead of a negative one. Will it be acceptable to anybody If such negative nomenclatures are extended to other sections, like the IAS officers being called as ‘Non-Secretaries’, Members of Director Board as ‘Non- CEO’, ‘Non-CMD’ etc. Whether anybody will like it, if Cabinet Ministers in the Central government are called as ‘Non-Prime Minister’? It is time to change these names which are legacy of the British colonialism and find suitable nomenclature. This needs serious consideration. Thanking You Sir, Yours Faithfully, V.A.N.Namboodiri, T-18 C, Atul Grove road, New Delhi – 110001

While the central trade unions have demanded Rs.18,000 as minimum wage for contract workers, government arbitrarily announced that it will be Rs.10,000. In the meantime, India Inc cried fowl stating that it can not pay this ‘high wage’.
The government is still to issue orders, probably over the protest of India Inc, its real masters.
