A report has come in a newspaper that NITI Ayog has recommended closure/selling of loss making PSUs, including BSNL. It could not be confirmed from any other source.

However, there is always danger to the PSUs including BSNL. BSNL unions and Forum have to be most alert about fresh attacks from Government, which is anti-PSU and pro- corporates.

Hundreds of BSNL employees are retiring today, 30th June 2016, as usual every month. My Best Wishes to all of them for a Happy Retired life with family and friends!

NCCPA has called upon all affiliates to organise immediate protest demonstration condemning the decisions of cabinet to reject basic modifications sought in VII CPC report by CG Employees and Pensioners. Even OPtion No.1 of pension refixation recommended by VII CPC is not accepted but referred to committee. Statement by NCCPA is under issue.

Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, President, BSNLCCWF met Smt. Madhu Arora, GM(Estt.), Corporate Office BSNL and demanded early settlement of the gratuity to Casual labour. The GM(Estt) stated that the Board of Directors wanted the financial implications and for providing this, the CGMs have been addressed. The delay is due to non-receipt of the information from the circles.

The BSNLEU and BSNLCCWF circle secretaries are requested to meet the CGMs and pressurise them for early submission of the particulars to Corporate office so that the case is settled early.

It was started on 27th June 1965 and the first Editor was Com. Jyoti Basu. The present editor is Com. Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary, CPI(M).It is being published from Delhi, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Agartala.

‘PD’ has always been the vanguard of the working class and focused their issues. It gave inspiration and important information required in the struggle of the working class.

UK is out of European Union! In the referendum conducted in Britain whether to continue with the European Union or not, majority of the people voted for exit from the Euro-Union. Now there is some thinking in certain other countries also for similar exit.
The impact of the above decision is awaited with anxiety by many countries and the people.

In order to protest against the Central Government for not accepting the demands of the CG employees on the VII CPC and also as part of the preparation for the Indefinite strike from 11th July 2016, the Central Government employees are organisng a Parliament March today, 24th June, as per the call of the National JAC of the CG Employees.
