Lady students were lathi charged and manhandled by male police while they were protesting at the prestigious Benares Hindu University against  molestation of lady students. Varanasi (Benares) is the constituency from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was elected. Gorakhpur, from where hundreds of children died due to lack of Oxygen, is the constituency of Yogi Adityanath, who is the Chief  Minister of U.P.

Shame on the UP government!

Why we are not able to keep time?

22 Friday Sep 2017

I have the habit of reaching in time  or in advance for all appointments, meetings etc. May be due to the long experience in working shift duties, where puctuality is most important.

But what happens in most of the functions is different. Sometimes it takes half an hour or more to start the same. Sometimes it is even more than one hour. How much time is wasted. Can this be got changed and punctuality get the better. It will be better for all concerned.

Allot funds for payment to contract labours

09 Saturday Sep 2017

Complaints are continuously being received from many circles that the wages of contract labours in their circles have not been for months. This is atrocious. The contract workers and their families depend upon the wages for day to day expenses. Denying them their due wages is inhuman and cruel. The CGMs should demand and get the funds required for their circle.
BSNCCWF and BSNEU had demanded the corporate office to ensure that funds are allotted to circles so that the long dues are paid with out further delay.

Gauri Lankesh, Progressive Journalist murdered in Bengaluru

06 Wednesday Sep 2017

Progressive journalist, free thinker and a strong critic of Sangh Parivar, Ms. Gauri Lankesh was brutally murdered in her house yesterday night. Bike-borne assailants put bullets after bullets and escaped immediately. 7 bullets have been found on her. She was returning from office and had got down to open the gate when the murderers shot her. It seems that the Sangh Parivar is behind the gruesome murder.

This is the fourth instance  of well known thinkers  and rationalists  who have been exposing the RSS and Sangh Parivar having been murdered. Comrades Narendra Dabolkar (Maharashtra) was killed on 20-08-2013, Govinda Pansare (Maharashtra) on 16-02-2015 and M.M.Kulbargi (Karnataka) on 30-08-2015. These sinister murders show how the Sangh Parivar eliminate those who expose them. According to the Home Minister of Karnataka, there is similarity in the bullets fired in all the above cases as per Karnataka Forensic Laboratory  test and the same has been confirmed by Scotland Yard.

Gauri Lankesh was a strong critic of the anti-people policies of the government and also that of the RSS / Sangh Parivar. She received many threats to her life earlier, but continued her crusade against injustice.

We strongly condemn the murder of Ms. Gauri Lankesh and  convey our condolence to the bereaved family and friends. We demand the government to take immediate action to catch the culprits and punish them.

Change of ministers in central govt.

02 Saturday Sep 2017

The replacement of some of the ministers in the central government is not going  to boost up its image in any way, which is already at the lowest level with the demonetisation, GST, change of foreign policy etc.

Instead of ministers, change  the wrong policies.

BSNL contract workers

Complaints are being received from many circles like Punjab, Haryana, UP etc. that the wages of contract workers are not being paid for months together. This is atrocious.

Contract workers are performing duties and attending to their work sincerely and effectively. Some times they are compelled to work even 10 to 12 hours. But for months, their wages are not being paid. The contractors say that funds have not been received from Management. Contract workers and their families are suffering.

We demand the BSNl management to urgently allot funds to all the circles so that the poor workers  are paid their wages. This should be treated as most important.
