Che Guevera

Che Memorial in  Bolivia

On 9th October 2017, the world observes the 50th year of the martyrdom of Che Guevera, the eternal revolutionary and the inspiration of generations of youth and revolutionaries.

Ernesto Guevara was a true revolutionary who  lived and fought for the freedom of the Latin American countries. He was part of the guerrilla team of Fidel Castro which defeated Dictator Batista, made Cuba free and founded the Socialist state. He left the post of Minister and leadership of the party and went to Bolivia to liberate it. During the guerrilla warfare in the mountains, he was caught and executed at La Higuera, Bolivia on 9th October 1967.

The entire world remembers this great revolutionary on his 50th year of martyrdom. Tens of thousands from all over the world are expected to reach Bolivia to visit his grave and memorial.

Red Salute to the memory of Che Guevara on this death anniversary!

V.V.Dakshina Moorthy

Today is the first death anniversary of Com. V.V.Dakshinamoorthy Master, veteran Communist , who passed away this day last year. He was the Editor of ‘Deshabhimani’ for many years, have been Member of the State Assembly, District Secretary of CPI M), Kozhikode, State Committee Member and so on. He was a good speaker and writer. But most importantly he was an expert in teaching Marxism- leninism to more than two generations. He was simple and his dealings with others were also comradely. I had close connection with Murthy Master for more than 3-4 decades. When he used to come to Delhi for committee meetings etc, we used to meet.

A book on Murthi Master is being released to day by Com. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister, Kerala, in a memorial meeting to be held at Perambra, where Com. Murthy master lived. Meetings to pay homage are being held in Kozhikode and other cities.

Red Salute to Comrade Murthy Master!

P.Krishna Pillai

19th August 2017 is the 69th death anniversary of Comrade P.Krishna Pillai, one of the founder leaders of the Communist Party in Kerala. He left us on 19th August 1948, at the young age of 42 years, due to snake bite, while working under ground to avoid arrest.

Com. P.Krishna Pillai was affectionately called as ‘COMRADE’ by all his comrades, friends and followers. From very young age’ he was attracted to the freedom movement and became part of it, through Congress. It was only natural for him to become a Communist and a leader. He led many struggles against untouchability, injustice and for the cause of the workers. He was brutally assaulted several times by the police and was jailed. He was one of the best organisers, the party has ever seen. He laid the foundation for the Communist Party in Kerala.

On this 69th death anniversary, various programmes are organised state wide in his memory. He will always be  an inspiration for fighting against injustice and for the upliftment of the downtrodden, especially in the present situation, when the ruling classes ares aggressively implementing the neo-liberal policies and intolerance.

Red Salute to Comrade Krishna Pillai!
