Ambani, Riches

Thanks to the Indian ruling class, Mukesh Ambani has a declared assets of ₹3,71,000 crore according to the Barclays Harun India Rich List, 2018. He is the richest Indian.
There are 831 Indians having a net worth of ₹.1000 crore or more compared to 617 last year and the credit goes to the BJP government. S.P.Hinduja is second with a net worth of ₹.1,59,000. L.N.Mittal- ₹.1,14,500, Azim Premji- ₹. 96,000 and Dilip Shanghvi- ₹.89,700.

The rich becomes richer and the poor, poorer. The aggressive implementation of the anti-people neo-liberal policy is imposing more and more misery on the common people.

National Digital Communications Policy 2018 (NDCP 2018) approved by Cabinet.

NDCP 2018, New Telecom Policy

It is reported that the Central Cabinet has approved the New Telecom Policy 2018, which is called the National Digital Communications Policy 2018 (NDCP 2018), yesterday. It expects $ 100 billion investment in the telecom sector by 2002 and also increase in GDP from 6% to 8%.

The present Telecom Commission, will be henceforth called as ‘Digital Communication Commission'(DCC) as per the statement of Shri Manoj Sinha, Communications Minister.

Names are changed both for the Telecom Policy and the Telecom Commission, but nothing has changed much but for aggressive privatisation and huge benefits to the private telcos. By favouring the corporates and discriminating the PSU telecom companies, the government is moving towards the privatisation of BSNL and MTNL as they have already privatised the third telecom PSU, VSNL, earlier.

It is only the united strength of the workers and the massive protest by the people that privatisation can be stopped. The impact of the National digital Communications Policy 2018 has to be studied in detail and fight out the anti-PSU factors in the policy as also the pro-corporate moves. I am sure that the unions/associations in BSNL will certainly face the challenge effectively.

As per the decisions of the CEC meeting of BSNLCCWF held at Delhi on 6th September 2018, Hunger Strike with massive participation will be held at SSA level to compel the BSNL Management and the government to concede the fully justified demands of workers already submitted to the management.

Make the programme a big success through large scale participation.

Petrol price hike

Modi Government can be proud that it has raised the prices of petrol to such an extent that the day is not far off when it will hit century, Rs. 100 for a litre. The people are being taken for a ride to fill up the coffers of the oil giants like Ambani.

Despite strong protests all over India, the prices are increased almost every day. The people should give a sharp rebuff to the ruling party in the coming elections to save the country.

Rafale deal

Serious accusation has been made regarding huge corruption in the Rafale Deal. It is a question of corruption as well as the security of the nation. The PM is reported to be directly involved in the case.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not spoken so far. The PM should speak in the matter. Otherwise it will be presumed that the accusations are true.
