Casual workers recruited in DOT and working in BSNL are being paid the lowest of the DOT (Govt.) wages. BSNLCCWF had earlier demanded that they should be paid the lowest wages in BSNL. The demand was not accepted by the BSNL Management stating that since they are recruited by DOT, they will be aid the government wages only. Now that the government has implemented the VII CPC recommended pay scales and the lowest wage is Rs.18,000, the same should be paid to the casual workers. It is also demanded that the CDA also should be paid.
The BSNL Management has so far not implemented the same. Instead a committee is appointed to look in to the matter. Management has agreed to pay the CDA, but so far no order is issued.
BSNLCCWF is continuously making efforts get both the above implemented at the earliest.

When the Central Minimum Wages of Rs. 350/- per day will be implemented. It is being not implemented so far.
BSNLCCWF had already demanded for the implementation of the CLC notified minimum was for contract workers. I have again met the Director (HR) and GM (Restructuring Corp. Office in this matter and they have assured that necessary orders will be issued.
What is the procedure for implementing minimum wages of Rs.350.00 in PSU contract worker. Whether it is to be done through state govt. (Jharkhand)
BSNL Corporate office will forward the gazette Notification to the Circles and then it will be forwarded to the District for implementation. BSNLCCWF is trying to get this done at the earliest.
We can expect the minimum wage of Rs 350 will be implemented in April 2017
BSNLCCWF is making all efforts to get it implemented form January 2017 itself.
