Chief Justice of India Justice T.S.Thakur has once again stated that at least 27,000 more judges are required to clear the lakhs of cases pending for along period. He has earlier stated this in a meeting where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present.

Delay in disposing of the cases is denial of justice as the old saying goes. And the sufferers are generally the common people. Corporates and big guns are capable of getting speedy justice for them using highly paid senior advocates and so on. But the sufferers are the common people. They should get quick justice.

The Central Government should ensure that sufficient judges are posted to clear the cases. It is also employment for those who are selected. It is a crime to keep so much vacancies, when lakhs of young men are wandering in the streets for a job.
