A Branch Secretaries’ Circle Convention of BSNLEU, A.P.Circle was held at Eluru, today, 10th April 2016. About one thousand comrades including Circle office-bearers, District/Branch Secretaries attended. The hall where the convention is being held was overcrowded and many comrades had to sit on the sides of the hall. National Flaf and Union Flag were hoisted by Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, Founder General Secretary and Patron of BSNLEU and Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary BSNLEU. All the delegates honoured the martyrs by offering flowers at the Martyrs Column.
The Open Session of the Convention was presided by Com. Mohan Reddy, Circle President. Com.J.Sampath Rao, Circle Secretary and Com. Chinta Prasad, DS, Eluru welcomed the delegates. Com.V.A.N. Namboodiri in his Inaugural Speech, spoke about the high tradition of struggles organised by BSNLEU, the achievements in the past, the new demands and also the necessity of voting and getting the sole bargaining position to BSNLEU by getting more than 50% of votes in the ensuing Membership Verification due next month. He severely criticised the anti-worker, anti-PSU policy of the government. Com. Abdul Gafoor, CITU General Secretary A.P. and Com. Surya Rao, MLC greeted the Convention. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, BSNLEU, explained in detail about the achievements of BSNLEU including the wage revision, Promotion Policy, pensionary benefits for the BSNL recruited employees, the compromise role of NFTE in the PLI issue etc.
Coms. P.Asoka Babu, CHQ Vice-President, Ramachandrudu, CS, AIBDPA, Taranath, ACS and all Circle office bearers were present in the dias. The convention is continuing.

Com.BSNLEU is the only union which struggles for the survival of the organization, job security to the employees, against disinvestment “unbundling of copper pairs”& anti workers policy by the government such as “sampetroda committee” by which Retrunching of 1lakh employees etc. Many more things the EU did for the employees such as a great achivement id benefited wage Revision never happened in the history of the DOT or the Bsnl aspar with executives .Time bound promotions etc.More over With a great future vision of com.Nambooidri had taken a Decission by uniting all the executives&NoN executives under JAC platform&by non-executives in United Forum for stregthening all the work force of the BSNL. There r many good things to say. I feel for the forthcoming 7th membership elections definetely BSNL will get a good majority. Thank q uday jto hyd
