The BSNLEU Membership verification meeting at Kozhikode was held on 24 March 2016 presided over by Com.K.Surendran District President. Com.Jayaraj, Dist.Secretary welcomed. Com.P.Asoka Babu, Vice-President inaugurated. He spoke in detail about the achievements of BSNLEU and the new demands placed before administration. It is clear that Calicut will go ahead and get good majority for BSNLEI

This time, the terrorist attacks are in Brussels, the defacto HQ of Europe, killing many and wounding much more innocent people.
We condemn these attacks. Joint efforts by all countries are necessary to root out this evil. This virus should be eliminated.

The membership verification Convention was held on 23 March 2016 at Palakkad at GM Office premises. Com.P.Chandrasekharan, Dist. President BSNLEU presided. More than 300 comrades participated including AIBDPA and CCLU workers. Com.P.R.Parameswaran, Dist.Secretary gave welcome address. The house paid respectful homage to the memory of Shahid Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev became martyrs at the alter of freedom 85 years back.
Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, Patron inaugurated the convention. He pointed out the past achievements of BSNLEU and the need to elect the union to great success in the present verification also.Com.P.Asoka Babu, Vice-President, gave the key note address. In his speech, he stated the achievements of BSNLEU, the present demands and also the need for joint struggles against the anti-worker policies of the government. Coms. M.Vijayakumar, CHQ Org.Secretary, A.V.Kuriakose, Circle President, K.Mohanan, Circle Secretary, V.Kesavan, senior leader, V.Vijayan, ACS, K.K.Vijaya, K.Lakshmi, K.Mohanan, CCLU, K.Vasudevan AIBDPA and others attended and addressed. The large attendance in the convention itself shows that Palakkad SSA will certainly give a clear victory to BSNLEU.

All in BSNL know that Kerala circle continues to increase its revenue and profit year after year, while almost all other circles are posting loss. Despite the anti- worker anti-PSU policy of the government, service is also comparatively good in Kerala.
The reasons are many. The unions and management together are putting great efforts to meet customers and settle their issues. Effective propaganda for BSNL is unleashed. The customer service centres function effectively. Of course, there is full support from tbe public also. This is what I could understand while  visiting many centres in Kerala while campaigning in connection with membership verification.
Keep up the positive stride Kerala. Congratulations for Kerala workers!

Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL has stated that BSNL will earn about Rs.30,000 crore revenue for 2015-16 compared to more than Rs. 27,000 crore in the earlier year.
This is good news. More efforts should be made by both management and workers to ensure a turn around for the company.
