AIBDPA has called for organising dharna on 10th March 2016 demanding imediate settlement of 78.2% IDA Pension fixation for the pre-2013 pensioners. Organise the same effectively.
The Central trade unions have called for organising Protest Day on 10th March 2016 on the negative attitude of the government on the 12 points demands raised by the unions. Participate fully in the programme. Forum has also called to participate in the same.

Dear Com. Namboodariji, I thank for your concern on pensioners. I fail to understand why MOC is linking the issue with BSNL finance. 78.2% is concern to DOT/GOI and payment is from Consolidated Fund. The 78.2% is already paid to those retired/retiring from 10-03-2016. How can those retired from 01-01-2007 to 09-06-2013 and prior to 01-01-2007 can be denied. MTNL is not all a issue. It was formed on 01-04-1986 and no pension scheme was existing for them. They were offered pension for DOT period of service also. They were granted one above IDA scales. One year back only Union Govt. took decision to grant pension to them on par with BSNL scales. This has to be decided by 3rd PRC as well. I hope this aspect was brought to the notice of MOC and MTNL is not matter of concern now. Many HRD issues including scales which is left to 3rd PRC are yet to finalised. – K G Deshpande
Dear Com. Deshpande, All these points have been brought to the notice of the Secretary DOT and other top officers of the DOT several times. During the meeting with the Minister Communications recently which lasted more than 25 minutes, same has been brought to his notice also. Government/DOT is unnecessarily delaying the same to avoid payment as was done in the case OROP for defence pensioners. Unless strong agitation takes place they will further delay. That is why massive dharana was organised at all levels by AIBDPA a few days back. You may also be remembering that the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations have to organise two strikes for getting the pension revision for pre -2007 pensioners as also another two strikes for getting 78.2% IDA fixation for regular employees. Without struggle, this government is not going to accept any demand.
