BSNL, the telecom PSU, will provide a minimum broadband speed of 2mbps from today to its customers, from the earlier 512kbps. This is probably a gift on the 15th anniversary of BSNL. BSNL was formed on 1st October 2000.

This is nothing more than a gimmick sir. BSNL will offer 2 mbps speed only up to the limit of 1GB for the unlimited plan of RS.675/month, and similar restriction is there to other plans also.(Please refer BSNL circular) After this nominal data limit it will come to 512kbps itself. If TRAI had demanded for minimum 2MBPS speed, then why cant BSNL raise it to 2mbps throughout?
